Edit: Damn missed this
With a soft G, like Gin. Because I'm not a degenerate. Next thing everyone will be pronouncing JPEGs "Jay-Fegs" because the P stands for Photographic.
tchiff
G is G, J is J. Get outta here with hist "soft g" nonsense
Everybody knows it's sniff
Jäffla
That honestly would be perfectly fine. We're just too far down the rabbit hole. English should be eliminated and remade from scratch.

Soft G for life. I know the G stands for graphics but the U in 'scuba diving' stands for 'underwater', so unless you want to start pronouncing it 'scuhba diving' then that argument holds no water.
"Skahba diving" more like
i usually use PETA as an example of the same principle, gonna pronounce it "p-eh-t-æ"?
I also think "jif" sounds much nicer but my obsessiveness with meaningless details that does more to hurt me that help me gets in the way of me having a happy life
Do you pronounce webm as "web-m" or "weeb 'em"

I always thought the inventor was in favor of the hard G. Well. TIL. Personally: Well, I don't jive jifts to people on their birthdays, so there you have it. Also, "Giraffe" doesn't count, because that one's a French import.
The real question is, why does this argument evoke such passion in people? Why do people care so much?
It's like the pineapple on pizza debate, the world may never know
jif
Gee-ay-eff
I've personally pronounced it Gif since they had first come about.
I always thought that both debates were jokes. I never met anyone with genuine hatred for either side in either debate.

its Gif, kinda, or jif, it depends how you say it but regardless, it wont be around for too long bc its kinda dying.
If you say jif your bloodline is weak and shall not survive the winter.
Luckily I've never had the displeasure of meeting someone who pronounced it wrong, probably because in Polish there is just "G" and just "J", none of that Hard/Soft nonesense, so there's not really any doubt.
Real talk: how do you pronounce the name of this type in C char x;
Like the start of character caused that is what it is? How else would you pronounce it?
You don't want to know. The things I've heard. They cannot be unheard.
