Okay it's actually surprisingly easy for me to keep a cool head about this considering with both have a new place to stay in if FP actually ACTUALLY goes down and we also have an archive of the place made by inacio but for real you can't keep messing with people's emotions like that. Bleh. Garry's just a human being so it's not like I expect him to keep caring about this place if he's had enough of maintaning it but I think that he has to take responsibility for this community whether he likes it or not and that means either passing on the torch to someone who actually cares, shutting this down for real or actually working on this. What I now resent him for is what amounts to toying with our emotions with his non-commitment. FP means something real to me, okay? I'm not ashamed to admit that. I hope it sticks around but if it can't I'd want to give it a proper sendoff. Not this in-between limbo state of uncertainty.

garry didn't want to read 22 pages of answers to his question so he asked for a tl;dr (popular opinion is that people want fp to stay) thought that no one cared about fp and wanted ko so he closed it and redirected it returned it when he saw that people got upset

All the threads and responses saying "JUST KILL IT ANYWAY" now. Maybe this was part of Garry's plan the whole time. kills forum everyone mad at him brings back forum everyone coming in to say "just kill it" he kills it "Well, you told me to kill it."

@garry Instead of pointlessly trying to get a rise out of the community like you're 15 years old how about this: If you're not willing to commit to the forum and if you're not interested in keeping them up, then pass the torch. Give people (read: the community, not just a handful of people in a thread somewhere) a date where upon you will shut the forums down, and then actually shut them down.

Not really because I don't want to go dig it out, but it was basically "people are mad, inacio said some shit a while back people are shitting on him, stuff falling apart"

I honestly think there's really no point in reasoning with garry anymore

One of the things I hate is that I feel like Garry only reads the very negative comments from a vocal minority (people that say KYS or call him an idiot) and then uses that as a justification for his actions. It's like, I can't control other people's actions. I think overall the silent majority don't actively hate Garry and understand he's just a human being. I don't understand being upset by the posts of a handful of users when they don't represent everybody else.

I agree with this part, but it seems more like he uses posts like this to justify what he already wants to do. Garry wanted to shut the forums down, found a small handful of people telling him to just shut it down, and then poinedt at them and said "Well it's what YOU wanted!"
