SInce I watched the US version one first, I guess there was a bit of a bias. I usually go for UK version shows over US because my family is more European-carribean than American and the humor and stuff is different in my house? Idk Anyways!!! US Office is funny BUT! I really hated Pam and moose face together because they made me want to stab them all the time? I really didnt have an issue with anything else with the characters. I think they did a good job. I just really couldnt stand Jim and Pams relationship.
I tried watching the UK version and honestly couldnt get past the first 2 episodes. I tried so hard but I fell asleep. I may try to watch the 3rd episode because theres literally only 14 episodes -__-

I watched US Shameless, which is fucking amazing? But I started watching the UK version and although its interesting, Im attached to the US characters.. HOWEVER! WHOEVER CAST THEM DID A GREAT JOB MATCHING THEIR POND COUNTERPARTS!!!

Is the UK Office really that good?
honestly, i don't think the uk office is massively great
it's definitely 'uk humour' aka cringe-deadpan-awkward humour (not saying its cringy to me, its just the type of humour)
but i think they serve a different purpose. the uk office is purely just for some jokes and it's very clearly about david brent, with the secondary plot being tim and dawn.
in the us office, the characters are far more fleshed out, there's massive plots and a huge amount of character development
the first half of the first season is the only thing that's similar, really. the us office became its own thing completely and i think it's almost silly to compare them even though they have the same name, know what i mean? it's like comparing arma 2 to the weird mobile strategy game. they're in totally different veins of humour, purpose and audience
