That sounds ominous, are you going to remove reloading pages entirely?
The fuck was you typing that took half an hour.
can we remove the log out function? Doesn't feel facepunchy enough with it there
It feels so weird not having fp_read... unless I'm missing something. I haven't had a look around yet.
Would also be nice to have a subscription system too. Easier to keep track of threads you know you want to keep up with that way.
No way to see who rated what?
Planned
We don't really have a good rating for "zing". I'm just going to use the lightbulb.
I've just noticed it shows at the top of the post where it was sent from. That's neat.
i really hope we can comment on eachothers profiles in the near future
that was always fun
I'm assuming you are, but doesn't hurt to ask, are you planning on being taken to the latest post in a thread when you click on it from the homepage? right now it's just takes you to the OP.
Garry, you should add a button at the bottom of the page that takes you back to the top. I didn't realise how much I used it until now.
P.S. Keep up the good work.
I use this all the time with my phone on oldpunch. Otherwise, I just press the home key.
Snowflake and child molester are pretty good replacements to me.
There's also the asshole and baby ratings. Though for something that's legitimately just dumb there's nothing that's universally fitting right now.
q1: will the forums be open-sourced eventually?
q2: will there be an issue tracker for the forums? (like the one on github, the meta subforum doesn't count as one)
being able to send in fixes for small insignificant bugs no one else seems to care about would be cool, but being able to open issues for them on a proper issue tracker would be the second best option (more confident in that it'll eventually be seen by someone, unlike when posting in some bug megathread/subforum with 24000 pages/threads)
Discourse does it pretty well, the reply box stays open across the forums (you can minimize it) and all you typed is auto-saved in it.
A minor inconsistency: When viewing a subforum clicking a thread's last post time links to the last unread post in that thread. When on the forum's front page, however, it takes you only to the first page of the thread instead.
If someone is perma'd on oldpunch and they make a new account here, does that count as evading a perma or do they get a fresh start?
are bans implemented here yet? I hope the refugee camp hangs around

Looks like it. Who the hell is this Alistair person though? Are they actually one of the mods from oldpunch under a radically different name?
The CSS setting also applies to wwww.facepunch.com
I was thinking, should there be a divider of some kind in-between the username and the join date?
Maybe then the top-right can be used for visitor messages and other context functions like finding latest posts? Just a thought. It might not be the best idea.
i swear I've seen you with that avatar before
please don't gaslight me
