Thank
You!
That's almost perfect, but a way to do it while already having your whole quote in my reply box where I'm typing the reply would be really good, and just kinda make it easier to use I feel.
It would be nice to take the whole quote while in the box and click on the part you want to split and hit enter to split it -- while maintaining the fact that the quote can't be edited (good call.)
That's just kinda cherry-picking though.
With everything addressed, I definitely love these new forums. They feel so much better to use.

Let the race wars begin.
Oh no, one more thing -- sorry to clog up the thread.
I think we should be able to see who reacts to stuff -- it helps when someone decides to spam dumb ratings on someone or so on and so forth. It also kinda helps instill credibility with people who react to Lua related stuff with agree/disagree and you can kinda see who has an eye for stuff. (p.s. bring back dumb it was a staple of facepunch culture)
Seeing who rated what is planned, personally I kinda prefer how it currently is but thats me.
Anonymous rating is a cool concept, but I don't think it would work well with FP since there are multiple ratings (vs upvote/downvote) and it could easily be abused with spam. The latter is already bannable, but it would seldom be reported since no one would know for sure if they were being rating spammed due to the anonymity.
I mean, the child molester reacts on Raegy's post kind've prove that point.
Again, it also genuinely helps establish credibility for people -- when I see you agree with code that is good -- along with other people who agree with code that is good -- who are known to have good code, I know you might be a good coder. Vice versa for bad code.
I get that that's maybe a silly example, and I guess it more so applies to good mapping practices, good rigging practices, etc etc.
For spaces between new lines, could we have it so that shift-enter does a new line without the space?
Coin generation is a long process, posting and viewing only contributes a small amount to it and if you stick to only threads you've visited, it doesn't effect it much apparently.
I still can't believe I lost access to Darksoul on here. Farewell..
How long are we talking about here. A month?
Is there any way I can have that light theme for the whole website?
holy fuck HACKERMAN
One more suggestion, if you click on "The Genie posted" then it should take you to the post itself.
I'd recommend centering small avatars here in the recent post area.
Perhaps have the "button" you click to access the user's profile fill the avatar area instead of the avatar image's area, like this image:
The left is what the button is currently like for small avatars.
Oh, one thing i've noticed is that clicking on the thing to take me to the newest post just takes me to the page before last, if all the new posts are on the newest page
Can it be made so that links in quotes are still clickable?
I'm out of the loop, since when are there gold names now?
Can we have something on a user's profile page that says which account they migrated from Oldpunch (if they have migrated)
The grain filter is on top of posted images (visible on the bottom right buildings, for instance)
I don't know if this is intentional or not, but in case it is, this is quite a turn off for posting artistic content
General design:
"Click to view full post.." This is really annoying when viewing a thread like "What are you working on"
Quotes are also faded out when they're deemed to be too long. In this case the fading starts on line 2, but that doesn't seem to be consistent.
The Development subforum is really hurt by this IMO. The topic is inherently dense an verbose.
Why have borders been mostly abandoned? This can work when the theme sticks with contrasting colors, sure.
The dark theme uses a gradient which makes it annoying to look at and difficult to find separations at a glance: See here
The light theme just says screw it, which is really bad design IMO. Even when borders appear they are extremely faint: See here
For some reason the text color is set to 0.4 opacity in some places(look at "from" in the above picture). In general the text is too small/doesn't contrast enough.
Another example is the "edited" message: See here
Reading text is the most important feature of this thing and it seems more difficult now. I have to squint and stare at the number in this picture to figure out what it is, even then I have no idea what it means: See here
The reply text box is pretty rough.
"New Reply" text suffers from the opacity issue noted above.
A dotted yellow outline with 0.5 opacity on a white background is probably a sin in some design circles.
It's a bit annoying that we can't edit things like a quotation. Sometimes you want to split a large quote into smaller components if you're addressing them separately.
Also are we not able to embed things like quotes without using the toolbar? I can't seem to do it using [quote]quoted text[/quote] or something like markdown's '>'
We can't edit text that has been converted to a link either. Say for example I converted the text "pciture" to a link. If I want to fix the typo and change the link text to "picture" I need to completely remove it, type "picture" then convert the new word to the link.
It seems like some of the toolbar operations(quote, code) only work on full lines and not just selected text. It seems a bit counter intuitive IMO.
Some toolbar buttons don't have tooltip/hover text. Such as the T with a \ through it and the strike-through button.
The padding between separate lines is too large IMO. Lines that are separated by an explicit new line have so much padding that there appears to be a full blank line between them while wrapped lines look normal.
On my setup:
Characters are at most 11px tall.
Padding between two separate lines is 25px
Padding between wrapped lines is 8px
Can we have more than 500 characters to work with on the custom css section?
It doesn't even go till 500 it cuts off at around 464
Not sure if it's intentional, but level 9 doesn't have a background.
u got a point on import, guess I'll just use that until(if) the character limit gets boosted
No word wrap on posts is intentional?
Previous and Next Page buttons would be nice. The highlighting on the current page number is a little too similar to the background blue so I find myself closing out threads when I haven't finished them yet because I didn't notice it wasn't the last page.
Using import is garry's advice, so I doubt this will actually happen
Probably mentioned before but [t] tags don’t work on this forum. Perhaps they should be auto-converted to the image tags this forum uses? Hey
being able to quote posts across pages would be very nice

No test for Finns.
