I'm not sure it matters much yet as a good percentage of the forum right now is shitposts anyway.
Well it already does that, when you get coined it comes up under notifications at the top right.
well that sums it up i guess
I tried serach for this but maybe I just suck at searching, but is it possible to follow threads? It's seriously annoying trying to keep up with threads without some kind of follow feature.
Not yet, here is a list of things they have planned. https://forum.facepunch.com/roadmap/ Not sure if they are doing things that aren't on the list, I am sure some features will come back from the old forums, and follow/read threads seem to be a popular choice for a comeback. Just got to wait for a while.
Actually, i can't check whether someone suggested it, but, i would like to have forum signature in down side of post
I saw signatures with some user links or info. Not just name
make sigs oify-only just like fyad has it on something awful
If a thread is moved the links to posts don't update. My last post in this thread was made before it was moved out of General Discussion, if you try to follow the link to it from my profile you get a 404 page instead. It's not a huge issue, I just thought it should be known.
So here's a problem with the current WYSIWYG editor: Editing or writing extremely long posts will have you constantly scroll up and down to access the formatting tools. Perhaps they should always be on screen when the reply box is taller than the viewport?
Some bugs I've encountered so far: Scrolling fast with the mouse wheel click will cause the page to become blank, temporary fix is to scroll up and down and the page should reappear. If you're on the last page of a thread, and you post, and that post becomes page king of the next page, you'll be redirected to the page you were looking at, not the new page. (Not sure if this is intended or not).
You get a notification when you leave a coin on someone's post, and even an email subsequently. Thank you btw
Forum signatures would be a horrible idea, please never implement them.
If Garry was to ever add those awful signatures I would like them to be 100 coins per pixel.
Also, It would be nice if you clicked on a thread in the main page, it would take you to the latest post, not the beginning of the thread.
It'd be neat if subforums had a new threads counter, similar to the new posts counter on threads.
Just start it out at 2 coins for the first pixel and increase it exponentially after that. 2, 4, 16, 256, 65536, 4294901760, and so on. Seems perfectly fair to me.
I don't really see how useful that would be, I think it would just clutter it.
Quotes with spoiler tags don't retain the spoiler tag. Someone give it a shot.
Quotes break spoilers. I can't believe it took me this long to notice. Go ahead. Try
Guess I could've used the search. No need to be a molester about it.
I'll molest who and when I want, babe.
The new spoiler tags look fancy and all but I do certainly miss being able to just left click spoilers to reveal them permanently or until page refresh.
do you use chrome? https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=774642
I still think profile customization, visitor messages and personal messages are a thing that need doing up right now..
I'd rather have links from main page to threads take you to first unread post, instead of the OP. The profile stuff looks like it's scheduled for next year.
Agreed. Which ain't far from now.
According to the roadmap it says "first half". That's a big spread. But I'm thankful that between then and now we got the user links. You can find use for them in many ways. For example, not quoting a full post to let someone know you're replying to them. Or perhaps to direct another user's attention to a thread they are otherwise unaware of. Don't you agree, , my good chum?
Yep, got a notification from you so you're right.
The user mentions are pretty neat, although I can't think of any time I would actually use them instead of just quoting a person.
Sorry, you need to Log In to post a reply to this thread.
