I would like to see a way to mark threads NSFW, either in the thread icon or via a tag system.

the whole new markdown thing is super fucking lame. this "highlight text and wait for the pop-up bar" is way too much fucking around just to post a URL

Two things: 1. If your post is quoted in any thread, display some kind of indication 2. Too hard to spot your own posts IMO, the thin green line is not enough

Markdown's great but I'd like to see text-based editing (i.e. if I write *test* it should come out as test).

Chewgum: I feel the same way, but it might just be because we're used to the old forum. Probably because there aren't a lot of threads yet. But before the migration happens it could definitely use some improvement. Check the visibility below (Rust forums).

Maybe highlighting those threads the same way your own posts are highlighted (here or in old FP) would help? Just something that isn't a colorful icon on top of another one

In the future when you get a usersettings page it would be nice to have a option to use the default fourm style or use the styles the subfourm you are in uses. For example if you go to the rust section from this fourm you still use this fourms style. Would be nice for if/when custom subfourms come back

The reply box looks like a post and it's confusing on mobile

I think that's the point so you don't need to preview your post cause it already looks like one

Did another small update just hit? Now users have underlines under their names to show their online status. Nice! I just wish the active user list comes sooner bcz the place feels so isolated without it

If I hold middle mouse button and move my mouse for a very quick scroll to the bottom/top, sometimes the page won't render until I scroll a bit more

There's not any room under the title once page counts reach 5+. I'd prefer it the way old FP has it, just in a box that says "x new posts" next to the title name

The new post count, I agree, not visible enough, not what people are used to. I'm experimenting, trying to make it all more feasible on mobile.

The only thing that I personally kind of have an issue with is the color of the text in posts. It's a little bright for me, but then again I'm used to dark mode.

And for the post ratings, maybe make it to where you can directly click on the ratings if it already has ratings. Kind of how reactions work on Discord.

Teddybeer: The green bar is fucking with my OCD. The "last read" bar or the "this is you" bar?

If we're talking about necessary rating, I feel Bad Reading should make a come back. If the whole point of ratings was originally to cut out simple posts like "that was funny" or "I agree," a bad reading rating would cut down on posts like "Did you even read the artcle/watch the video?"

Everything feels so weird here. Of course I say that now but it'll grow on me eventually. I will forever miss the old forum design though.

any idea yet if any of our old user made emoticons will be getting ported over or if we're totally starting fresh on emots?

Will there be an option to disable that green bar?

We're also lacking a "zing" rating. And maybe "winner" too, but :cookie: works for that. Man, :cookie: reminds me of 2007. Good taste.

You shouldn't make the thread title and the breadcrumb thread title clickable. I keep clicking it by accident and it sends me back to the first page.
