Also, the "last post by..." currently displays my google (or openID or something, I don't remember setting any avatar in my google account) avatar but my posts display no avatar, a bit of an inconsistency I'd like to still have a dumb rating but make it cost a fuckload of coins or something. That way, when I get rated dumb, I know they had to be really dedicated to calling me an idiot.

I don't know how flexible you are with the rating system, but I'd remove the notification menu button and have the separate rating icons pop up when the mouse hovers them (others also said the process of handing out ratings can get tedious). You could even carry the icons to the left of each post and have non-rated icons remain "un-popped" so raters don't have to pan so far to the right (this admittedly is a result of widening the post wall to the entire screen :V), just like strengthening existing icons is already possible by clicking them, (although this would mean the 'reply' button is going to be quite lonely down there to the right). I think that would get people to use the rating system more, it'll be more accessible

sometimes when i hit post it doesn't take me back to the thread it just does this if i go back to the forum and look at the thread it says i haven't read my own post

also i miss fp_read, that was what i bookmarked instead of the main site

fp_read is a problem. People read 4 threads and then go to fp_read and keep refreshing. So then no-one posts new threads because they don't get read, because people are only checking for their threads. That's anti-forum and it's a problem we want to solve. Not saying fp_read won't come back, just saying it enables behaviour we don't want to encourage. Will show new reply notifications etc in the alerts system, so it'll be less vital.

Interesting problem. I guess you want to discourage peeps from parking in an "imaginary circle" and move them towards "subforum environment"? I think incorporating some sort of fp_read-ticker into the notification system could be a possible solution. This could replace fp_read, or even events, popular and old-ticker entirely with the appropriate filter. Just throwing my idea out there

It's my first post on the new forum, looking pretty snazzy. An idea might be to allow supported integrations, for example, for S&box and it's hypothetical workshop, a thread on here could be linked to an addon hosted there, and allow users to be notified on here when an update is made to the addon. One thing I have noticed however is inconsistent use of box-shadow. For example, most white divs have a shadow, but most blue divs don't, and it breaks the immersion.

Also, if you have visited a thread and there are new posts on a page other than the first, there is no way to open the thread on the first page from the threadlist, as you can select the second page onwards, or the unseen posts, but not the first page. If there are no new posts but you would like to open the thread to the last post on the last page, there is no link that will take you there, as it will then take you to the first post on the first page.
