I had a though considering gold member as we know it is going away. I know that at some point in the past gold member worked by being on the forum for 5 years and having so many thousands of posts. Based on the new FP to get bigger avatars and other benefits you will need points meaning you will likely need to make good posts and contribution and stuff. I know that some older members often lurk more than post and likely it wont stand out much when they do post that they have actually been around for long rather than a new member if their name or avatar is not that memorable.
What if once accounts are linked to old FP accounts a system was put in place to effectively make usernames (could just be a border around avatar or something I dono) have a colour gradient that changes based on how old your account is. Brand new members will have a light blue coloured name boarder whatever and over the years the colour will change in a gradient more and more golden or whatever colour is most appropriate. You would be able to tell immediately from looking at the users name or boarder roughly how long they have been around for if you don't recognize the user themselves.
Naturally the option of just showing a users join date like on current FP is perfectly fine to do but this is just something a little different and the forum is supposedly taking on a bit more of a gamification direction and gold member as we know it is going. Could potentially be a thing obtained with your stored points.
I feel like that'd be a bit excessive. The whole point of gold member was that there was no in between and you were held to a higher standard because you had been around for so long. Adding an in between makes it worthless and effectively the same as levels/coins which are both supposed to show how long you've been around as well

maybe it's just me but did anyone else use the little thread snippet previews you get when you mouse over threads a lot on old fp? I mostly just used it to quickly skim through the banned user's forum since those threads are generally short anyways but it's a nice way to quickly peak at stuff without having to actually open a whole bunch of threads. that's one thing i miss atm
I've taken this feature for granted I didn't even register it as something someone would need to spend time to implement.
Actually as a common user I rarely use it, but like u said I do use it to glance at threads I knew is going to be locked in matter of minutes.
It always surprises me when it pops up when I linger too long on a thread title. I like it.

Not really liking that grain texture used. The forum is not a material that needs an additional detail map.
I like the texture, it makes flat colors look better nearly 100% of the time. Maybe not on the posts, but the rest looks great IMO
The old ratings could be rather easily brought back with a some tweaks to the new emojis
(the above is a very half assed attempt, but the colors are on point)
