Thank god for being able to use google to log in though.
Can you add a feature to subscribe to specific roadmaps and other facepunch site features? So we can get notifications when things get added or completed on the roadmap, blog posts for games, or even got commits if you happen to enjoy that
Maybe I am super dumb but I couldn't see any login options on mobile and if they are there maybe make them more obvious for super dumb people like me please
Can you bring back the avatar and thread icon drawing?
Will do that once we have user profile pages
Long boring quotes are now cropped until you click them to unfold
will we be able to @mention so people get notifications?
Just my two cents, but I think the ratings under each post should be organized by the quantity of rating applied, like on the old forums. Right now they appear to be out of order - for example, Garry's post at the top of this page reads: Agree x1, Funny x2, Cookie x1, Coin x1, Good Idea x3. See how it's out of order? It helped to quickly identify exceptional posts on the old forums, whether exceptionally good or bad.
I do really like that long quotes wont be page stretcher now though. All it used to take was a couple people quoting a wall of text or the odd big image not thumbed and pages would stretch for what felt like a mile.
I'm really liking the new forum. Have you considered redirecting the Garry's Mod section over here for the time being? I mean the sections already created. It should bring more active users over here and the posts/threads can still be migrated in 2018. Just my two cents.
Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but I would like to be able to click a rating again to un-rate, in case I accidentally clicked it.
If you are concerned about people deleting their history long term to hide something, perhaps only allow rating deletion for 10 minutes for example?
Embedding of mp4 video, Embedding sketchfab model viewer (bbcode or html), WYSIWYG editor, Award system.
RIP quote pyramids, though
Honestly, removing quote pyramids might be a good thing. Too many nested quotes could potentially be a hindrance to comprehending what a post is trying to convey. Keeping quotes limited to the post that is being quoted will make threads seem more conversational and less like a massive, convoluted debate. Plus, any text someone needs to reference will still be there in the thread.
I'm curious: does the method of making quote boxes on the legacy forums still work here, with the quote & /quote commands? I only ask because I know that's a popular formatting tool in Shit Hole Sensationalist Headlines to abbreviate the text of the source article.
a go?
It's cheering me on. Go Liam!

What about thread announcements of sorts? (Think birthday messages or warning when creating a new thread) For example in Forums Discussion on oldpunch people kept asking why is the flagdog broken. This kind of stuff could be put into an announcement below the thread title. Or in a fast moving thread some important stuff could go in there so you don't have to check the op.
Welcome back Bad Reading!
Why is :cute: black and white?
I'm not going to be able to get a good night's sleep until we get boxes back to be honest. But I'm really glad to see Bad Reading and Bad Spelling.
Could the ban messages be smaller? They are as wide as a post.
This is with max-width 500 and margin set to auto
And yes I use the navy seal copy pasta as my lorem ipsum
Votes now ordered, fold and wrap.
Also hooked it up so you get level++ for posting thread, replying and rating separate. This is throttled so you can't spam and get more.
Would be nice if the event log has it's font colour changed... it blends in making it difficult to read.
Testing quote alert
Yeah this design isn't final, I really should sticky something explaining that I guess?
Can someone quote me, testing stuff
sure thing, hello
Yay, thanks
