Maybe a good compromise would be to keep it as-is, but when you tap on a username on mobile, it'll also show you their avatar. Would help when you can't exactly remember who that poster is by their username.
i think a toggle option on mobile would be better than having to tap it for every user. that's just tedious.
Dunno about you guys but I can see avatars on mobile if I use my phone in landscape mode, don't even need to reload the page
Seems they're visible on tablets. Guess it's just related to screen sizes. Maybe there's a way of tricking it into thinking it's a larger screen?
Looks like Goldmember trumps Moderator in css styling
Well yeah this is how CSS works. It is, after all, in its name as well: "Cascading Style Sheets".
Hey garry can you make it so words don't get split when they reach the end of a line? It's really annoying to read something like garry is a fucking great guy.
hi i'd like to report your moderators are broken, fix pls
Hi there's a small dog ass on my computer right now what am I supposed to do

I mentioned this in another thread but: garry mentioned a while ago that he doesn't want people to be able to merge multiple oldpunch accounts because he wants to punish alts. However, it's entirely possible to make newpunch accounts for your oldpunch alts, merge those individually, and give your main all the coins from that merging via ratings.
But that would mean you'd need to invest some effort into it.
If by "effort" you mean "5 minutes of using guerillamail between classes" then yeah.
this actually raises the question what if you change your rating from coin? Does this refund a coin? Or does that mean if you rate coin again, it makes another transaction... This means you don't need the 100+ posts to rate them all coin individually
Wouldn't it be suspicious if someone suddenly got a shitton of coins on a single post?
I did precisely what I described. Nobody raised a fuss.
If you purchase the avatar upgrade, it doesn't let you use the resolution it says you can I tried uploading a 70x70 gif and it resized it to 69x69 and killed the animation so I switched to this for now. It still resized it from 70x70 to 69x69.
your fault for not speaking american tbqh
When clicking the Project Boards breadcrumb, this arrives.
Not really an exploit, but long words at the end of the reply box won't be moved to a new line, instead it cuts the word in half. Like here for example, the word "example" is cut in half despite there being no space between.

Seems to be a side effect of Garry fixing word breaks in the new post box. For some odd reason posts have the same CSS classes as the post box so it affects both.
I'm going to assume this might be because garry's password requests are in UTF-8 (unicode), whereas the data in the old database is ISO-8859-1 (Which is why emoji's like worked 20% of the time)
🚑 Wee emojis
Not an exploit but this page; https://wwww.facepunch.com/#aboutus cuts off text on the right and the "Facepunch Studios" button at the top left take your to "https://wwww.facepunch.com" (4 Ws)
I tried to verify my email account and got a "Permission denied - You don't have access to view this page." It is fixed by logging into the forums and then clicking the link. Reproduction Steps: 1) Request to verify account by email 2) Log out of forum 3) click link in email 4) permission denied I expected the link would work even though I wasn't logged in. If you log in and then click the link everything works as normal. This might be intended behavior, but made me very confused. I don't think other websites require you to be logged in to verify an email address.
Don't know if this'd work here but I thought this'd be important for Garry to know. Yesterday I was able to login to my account and post. I come back today, and I seem to require to verify when I already did, and until I did, I couldn't post. Is that a glitch or something?
Don't worry - that's just because verification was added today.
Ah, I see. Well needed, really.
Sorry, you need to Log In to post a reply to this thread.
