That seems like a good idea, a post once per day is a good compromise between awarding just for lurking, encouraging zero posts, and awarding for millions of posts, encouraging spamming
Make it like Bitcoin where your first few posts earn you loads of coins but the more posts you have, the more you need to make to get the same number of coins.
the bug was that he forgot to use Math.Floor again when checking if the user only has one coin (so it'd work for 1.00 coins but not 1.23 coins, i guess the fractional part is your next coin progress)

According to Garry it actually isn't a linear increase. I don't think anyone has reached the point where the price change stops increasing linearly, however.

to follow up on that excel sheet, had the linear cost increase continued indefinitely instead of capping at some point, the totals for each dimension would have come to:
300- 55,696
150- 7,396
63,092 in total

Coins will probably be earned faster once everything is switched over and there are actually threads worth using. Aside from the forum meta threads and a couple of chat threads it's just a few shit post threads right now.
Buying thread icons is a terrible idea; people should pick the most descriptive thread icon possible.
