@cathal6606 yeah i really like ppl
14th of July, doing it as part of a powerlifting team for my club. Got about 9 weeks of hypertrophy then into comp specific work
I'm actually crying right now
Speaking of PPL's I used to do one that I really loved cause it had all my favourite lifts, but I stopped because people said PPL's are useless, what's your opinions on it https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=162836851&pagenumber=1
I'm doing push pull legs but not that cookie cutter bullshit.
only focusing on my flat bench press which is atrocious because lack of carbs for the last months, paused back squat, and conventional deadlifts
Deadlifted 315 3x8 conventional and did 135 3x10 bent over rows and puked twice walking home. Back is pumped the fuck up tho I can feel my gains swelling up again
405 for 3*3 on squats, getting strong again finally
i hate social media. I love forums, but hate snapchat, instagram, facebook, twitter ect
An acquaintance of mine who shook off an eating disorder and started working out has to deal with the physical result of rapid weight loss and it's stopping her from fully embracing the passion she found in bodybuilding. She's strong as fuck and looks the part but would require body contouring to get rid of excess skin, not only for self-esteem but to actually take a crack at making it a career of some sort.
She's made a gofundme to try and finance it, but I'm not sure how it'd be seen for me to post a link to that here.
Im not paying for that shit tell that bitch to get a job and pay for that shit herself. And lol @ pursuing bodybuilding as a profession
I mean, I just wanted to share the story, there's a reason I didn't like the thing right away.
Seeing as I workout a bit myself to try and improve my life I was considering being a regular here but I can see it's one of *those* parts of the forum.
For what it's worth, most of us don't treat this thread as a /fit/ shitposting zone like he does.
I dont shitpost, I just speak my opinion. I have a buddy who makes it seem thay because he works out he should get a pat on the back and a gold star, its very annoying.
415 for 2*2, fucked up the unrack cause I used a thinner bar that was too whippy, second set felt a lot better
Seems like I might get a 500lb squat this year
Whats your deadlift like?
@Chocolate Golem if only u were here b4 the rest of the forums were moved u could have shit posted all ur little heart desires
It probably exists
For real though I havent deadlifted in ages, I'm squatting every second day and just decided to see how high I can get it until I run in to a wall progress wise. If I do this high of frequency squats and then also deadlift, my back starts acting up, so I've just thrown them out for now and am doing a Push-Pull with the squats thrown in. No desire to compete right at this moment, just know I'm best at squatting so thought I'd try push it to the extremes
deadlifting fucking sux
Guys, parts of my body that were round aren't round anymore. My weight loss has slowed tremendously, but things like my legs aren't like completely rounded with fat anymore. It's like muscles are trying to peek out, and my body is contouring around them. It's exciting!
Deadlifting is fucking awesome. Sucks that I'm shit at squats tho, I plateau on them way too hard.
Did 500x3 low rack deadlifts this morning awww yeee
you just reminded me of some bell end who used literally every plate in my povo gym to do above-the-knee rack pull singles, spend like 3 minutes psyching himself up and couldnt even move it lol what a fucking hot dog
Bout to shred the fuck outta my chest today boyos
420 for a single heh
Disappointing, but feel like I can get it for a double or more in the coming week. Called it there, want to try rest my legs and get it next session, now that I know how it feels on my back
Bodyweight still at 87.5, road to 500 looking smooth rn
We're given met cons to do at the end of our workouts and I've stared actually sticking around for them recently. Todays one was the single hardest I've ever exerted in my life.
1 round =
6 reps power clean and jerk @40kg
6 reps crunch
6 rep burpee
10 mins to do as many round as possible.
It looks easy on paper, I thought it would be easy, but fuck me its not.
High score was 8 rounds i got 7.
shiieeeet i would blow thru that chit asap. i wonder how many rounds I could do
Try it
Too easy. I could that shit with 100kg for at least 6 rounds
Literally what I thought
I've done shit like that back in high school. Its a cool way of conditioning
