You can highlight a specific part by just highlighting text and clicking reply.
I'm not bothered by Garry's choice to have plain-text quotes. I don't need quotes to be rich with anything except links.
Not if you want to highlight a key sentence (or the source of a mistake) while keeping the context around it, e.g. by making it bold.
ATM they don't even have links
Yeah, being able to format the words of quotes at least would be great.
Garry already implemented that feature, all you have to do is open the post request and edit it
>imagine greentext
imagine greentext
What do you mean by post request, and, how does that allow formatting? It only lets you edit the text as plaintext.
Shame you can't highlight multiple parts to quote.
Example: It ends up just quoting the first g. Same with trying to quote multiple lines if they are not one after the other.
Instead of embedding the image in the post, use Flickr's machine learning tech to verbally describe it
so many of these out in the wild now, pretty good
How do you even do that?
In other news, quotes are now editable... But not just quotes in the post you're writing. ALL quotes.
what is this madness?
Ctrl and select the text you want. Similar to what you would find in a file manager. Might be a firefox only thing though.
As an addendum you can also alt+select, at least in Firefox, in order to select stuff even if it's right in the middle of a link or such. Ctrl+alt+select looks to combine the two as well.
You can just highlight one and press quote
Scroll up and highlight the other bit you wanna quote
It's actually kinda nice, makes it easy to address a post point-by-point. Not sure what browsers even support multi highlight though
Firefox supports it natively, but I believe there are extensions for Chrome that allow multi-highlight.
