I got a new name too! Actually, legally soon! I put in my forums last friday, just waiting around for corrections to mail my background check to the courts. Also being able to just drag images from my desktop into the post box is ridiculously convenient. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/228525/07aeb236-97e4-423e-9ee0-be2262e687e7/2018-03-17 (2).png Is this a good number?
That is from before increasing my spiro dose to 200mg as well.
You can view their older posts though. Their old names will appear on whomever quoted them.
Hello, I'm Erin. I'm a junior Computer Science major. I was on HRT for 6 months ages ago but had to stop, so now I've been back on it a little over a month and the ball is rolling again. I mainly just play an obscene amount of videogames where I can be myself in them, since I don't feel properly represented in real life. In a way, it's like I'm implanting myself across whatever games I play. Here's my Fallout 4 character for example. https://i.imgur.com/CcPvGoa.png And here's a pic of me in real life... pretty stark contrast between who I would like to be, and who I currently am. I'll link this one. https://i.imgur.com/SWQTpgt.jpg This seems like a reasonable introduction.
I'd seriously try chasing it up if you know what centre handles your stuff, me I'm waiting until I've finished my degree before jumping back on the priority list. Looks like my parents are gonna be selling the house so my situation is pretty fucked but hey, grandma's chill with it all and she wouldn't mind me moving in, and I honestly don't mind looking for work over in Hull either as its so much closer to Leeds where all my shit ends up at so its gonna be a kinda win\win situation? Only thing that sucks is she doesn't have much space and god does her internet suck, so no more streaming stuff if that happens.
mmmmmbap, my docs started calling me Hailey and I have to keep myself from not crying every time he says it.. also he said he had to double take when he first saw me in the waiting room cause he thought i was waiting for the gynaecologist lmao i think he was just being nice tho also i like the new forum super cute like you all
so my appointment which i hoped would lead to the start of hrt got pushed back 30 mins before it because of sudden snowfall next appointment date: 1.5 months later i'll try a closer doctor...
My blood level results gave "11.4 Testo", I don't know what that means at all and how it translates to all this because these are in Finnish. They're before I started medication, as well. The entire list shows things like this: Hemoglobin 135 Hematocrit 0.41 Krea 92 ALAT 29 Full Cholesterol 3.6 Trigly 0.64 HDL 1.23 LDL 2.2 TSH 1.63 T4-V 14.1 Prolactin 201 FSH 3.0 LH 3.8 E2 0.08 Testo 11.4 D-25 (vitamin D) was a low 36, and Ferritin a low 13. Anyone who is better versed in medical terms, do let me know what you see
heyyy whats up people? i got a question about removing facial hair, since I have thick dark facial hair whenever I shave there's always a little shadow left and Idk how to get rid of it its drivin me crazzzyyyyy what do I dooooo T.T
If you have money, laser hair removal probably is good for a long term solution. Otherwise, probably waxing.
yeah I dont have the money for the laser yet but I haven't tried waxing ever so I suppose I'll give it a shot thanks! (hopefully I don't rip my face off lmao)
You don't wanna rush that, for instance using an epillator on face is gonna be a bad idea; It's very likely to cause some scarring, and/or ingrown/infected hairs. Make sure to do your research beforehand!
I suppose I'll try to finesse it the best I can
the best bet is make up honestly unless you can afford hair removal
im so glad i decided to check this thread is hair removal literally removal of the hair focials so they'll never come back?
i'm not sure but I think electrolysis pretty much damages them enough to not let them grow back, laser, i dont know much about except its cheaper (i think?)
Laser uses light to fry the hair follicles, it targets a small area at a time and according to the lady who lasered my face a couple of days ago, each session kills about 10-15% of the follicles. You need to do it a month or two afterwards because it only targets hairs that are currently growing, so there's probably 10-7 appointments or so until your face will have barely any darker hairs. Electrolysis, from what I know, just zaps them with electricity, so it hurts more and affects only a single follicle at a time (unlike the laser which is an area) so electrolysis is more efficient to clear up the stragglers, rather than using it on your entire face.
If laser isn't an option (mine for my face is like $120/6 weeks), try using orange lipstick on the areas you are trying to hide, then putting a skin tone powder foundation over it, then using liquid foundation for your entire face. Orange for some reason hides dark facial hair really well, and the powder is for blending it better before the actual foundation. Assuming you use liquid foundation.
I'm scared because I had a naturally rather late puberty and my facial hair is still slowly but noticeably getting thicker and thicker (I'm 19). Time is running out :c
I pluck and then use bleach to cover anything that is too thin or small to pluck. It usually works fairly well.
Most body hair growth is based on testosterone levels, so starting spiro can thin out your body hair, but from what I know it doesn't have much of a visual impact on your facial hair.
Anyone got any good articals or how-to stuff on doing voice training, I'm starting to try it now that I'm setting everything up
here's a past bin full of tips too
I've been extremely frustrated with all my attempts at voice training. I might have to shell out the nonexistent money for a professional because I either sound unmistakably like a dude or like I'm literally mocking every woman on earth
Might start posting in here
I have to say that seeing posts like this is really bothersome, namely because of how insanely transparent and common they are. https://imgur.com/gallery/M8CMi
Why do people keep perpetuating the narrative that its some constant exhaustive exercise in self-moderation? If you exercise literally any extent of common courtesy at all in your day-to-day life then it shouldn't feel unnatural at all to extend that courtesy to transfolk.
Look at the comments. It is.
I dunno, stuff like that gets put on the front page of imgur a lot. The OP's posts in the comments make it clear that that's exactly what he was talking about, and in the comments, a lot of people agree with the sentiment. That specific image has hit the front page multiple times this month, so even if it wasn't clear the first time, it's fairly clear at this point.
Dave Chapelle isn't transphobic. He talks a lot about it in this two specials and he's actually very sympathetic towards us. He just doesn't full understand it.
