I liked seeing people rate me in The Ticker because I'm a narcissist with an incredible need for validation, but even I don't need a Facebook-style notification for every rating I get
It's nice to have all these CSS stuff, but posting them in response to every request for FP becomes tedious and puts strain on viewing the website.
I don't want a CSS solution to everything.
plus I'm already at 70% of my CSS limit
If you have Stylish or Stylus (or some other custom CSS stylesheet addon) then you could just create your own stylesheet through that for miscellaneous snippets of CSS to bypass that limit.
how do i thumb images
and how do i reset my avatar to nothing
Would setting the avatar into a 100% transparent block (maybe make it 1x1 pixel in size too?) would be a good makeshift way of hiding it.
What's this change in today's commit?
"No more gravatar"
In some places if the user didn't have av avatar, we'd show a gravatar. Now we show nothing.
Wow garry replied, didn't know that gravatars were a thing, seems neat if you want to use it, maybe a bit annoying if you don't.
Wonder if there'd be a market for a simple generator. Just a page with a few checkboxes & optional color scheme, select what you want and generate custom CSS to place on your profile.
You can also upload your CSS somewhere, then just include the file in the custom CSS on here too
I was kinda thinking of making something like this, but maybe a bit more complicated than "just a few checkboxes".
