The site seems extremely laggy for me now. Pages used to load fairly quickly but now it takes 20-30+ seconds per page to load and it uses up a rather absurd amount of cpu. I also get a lot of hitching. If I stop scrolling to read a post then start scrolling again it almost always lags for a few seconds before responding. I also typed out the last two sentences before they ever appeared in the editor because the page froze. (And the last half of this one was typed during another freeze.)
It'd probably be better if it were a one-time unlock with a higher price if people are going to be risking just losing their coins altogether.
I liked the feature from the last version where a banner designated where your last unread post was. If that could return, that would be nice.
I actually like how Newpunch looks now.

I noticed there is basically no compression on the avatar backgrounds. I didn't exactly think there wouldn't be before uploading this one (plus I had to preview what it looked like by inspect element) and I don't have the coins to upload a compressed jpeg version of it that would be about less than half of the original size. It would be nice if it was possible to change it after you buy the background or at least preview how it might look on posts (both a full size post and smaller post?).
What happens when you get cheated out of 20 coins when your background gets eaten up?

Theme is broken on phone, and let there be an option for Night Mode (black theme), because white isn't the best in the night.

to be fair, quite a bit of the fp userbase used those links that went under your avatar. it'd be a bit remiss not to at least re-add Steam, PSN, XBL, Wii, YouTube, and some other popular ones that actually got used.
I still miss some of the old ratings. I've taken to rating people clover because there's no way to rate them winner.
