it isn't necessarily teaching how to hunt and stuff, it could be just a hobby to shoot guns at the range, also my uncle brings his son and daughter to go hunt every year and this is in canada just so you know, teaching kids to shoot won't make them trained killers

Because it teaches your child that the food you eat doesn't magically appear in a nice clean packet and that it was actually once another living breathing animal. It teaches respect for the food you eat
