Actually "hose" (pants) used to mean something alike "pipe" and only changed its meaning when modern pants came because the single legs of the pants were pipe-like compared to the old pants, the word still has the same meaning in english.

They're fantastic. Metal Gear is one of the few gaming series where HONESTLY every game is good.
