I don't know if he does it anymore, but at least for a long time, he literally did.
He showed people what he did at a con once, and it involves a lot of pasting in things. Literally using a template.

shit like this is extremely common with cartoons nowadays, it's so much easier and overall more productive. I'm not endorsing it, but don't single out Buckley when shit like this happens all the time. CAD is still awful and inexpressive, don't think I don't think that.
Cad has improved slightly in quality of the art itself, everything else has neither declined nor gotten better

You have to make shitloads of cels for cartoons so that's sort of excusable (even though cartoons nowadays also look samey and terrible sometimes)
This is what, [I]four panels every two days[/I] or something? and it's his day job, too, so it's not something he has to go cheap on because he has an actual job or anything.
None of the other webcomics I read (Antics, Awkward Zombie, Johnny Walker to name a few) do this shit.
Hell, if he uses a template, he could make a better template, with a bit more variety or something. Every face he draws looks the same.

Like I said, it's not inexcusable. It's still fucking awful. He's taking ideas that were made to make difficult work easier to make relatively easy work easier. All I was saying is that what he's doing isn't unique to him.
