Danes are genetically hard/impossible to distinguish from northern Germans, which is why in the genetic survey to find Viking influence in the UK, it was impossible to test for Danish influence (because most of England are Anglo Saxon). They had to only check for Norwegian influence because that's different, and the same applies for the majority of Sweden (of course, the south is very close to the Danes genetically).
