Age of Mythology is a must. Halo 1's multiplayer can also be fun. And Custom Edition has some kickass custom maps
Cod 4
Hours of co-op fun
SWAT4
;41850059']Killing Floor
Play so much of this that you'll be pissed at your friends for not healing you.
Synergy. (Half Life 2 Co-op)
MINECRAFT! Form a robbery gang, rob people
If you're feeling in the mood for something ridiculously in-depth, play Artemis. The other games I've played at LAN parties that were a ton of fun were Guns of Icarus (8 people, so we stacked an entire team) and The Hidden: Source.
So I'm going to suggest something that I don't know the title of, hopefully someone here knows about it. It's a star trek simulator where 5 people play separate roles on separate computers. I.E. The Captain, the communications, the weapons officer etc etc [editline]fuck[/editline] Nevermind found it, and Artemis was already suggested. I'll give my recomendation for it though, loads of fun.
Battlefield 3 can be pretty fun, especially if you guys all work together to form a cohesive squad. The only issue with that is the price, and Origin might be a pain if you don't already have it. [editline]16th August 2013[/editline] Oh yeah, Alien Swarm might be good as well. It's basically a top-down Aliens themed version of Left 4 Dead, and it's available for the low price of free. You can find it if you search in Steam.
Aeons of Death (will require some command line stuff in order to get multiplayer to work on vanilla zDoom) Brutal Doom + Zandronum Dawn of War series Serious Sam HD
The older Call of Duties are pretty fun for LANs World at War especially for the Zombies
circle jerk

If you all what ninja-cyborg fun with 30 player coop, give E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy a go.
Left4Dead was the best game at my last LAN party. Quake 3 is a very good competitive game. Warcraft 3 custom maps is very fun.
Gmod? Seems pretty obvious given Facepunch's origins. Also, you could grab a few racing and driving games. GRID, DIRT, Rigs of Rods. Then there's Synergy, which lets you coop any Source game that didn't ship with coop.
