No so much putting ,but your mouth will be a bit sore after.

When you first get them on it will be more of a discomfort than actual hurt. Whenever you get them adjusted they will be uncomfortable again. When you first get them on eat foods like Jello and drink a lot of fluids. After a week or so you should be able to eat normally again. Same with adjustments, though the recovery time is shorter.
