Now: (actually this was quake live but there's almost no difference) One of the best first person shooters I've ever damn played, and it isn't just nostalgia goggles.

Then: Played it on the PS1, fucking amazing, got Sick scores on everything. Also, that chopper on Hanger.
Now: Played it on iPhone. Get sick scores until fucking 3rd Highest level. Become incredibly shite. Get rage and throw iPhone out the room.

What I thought when I was younger: This...is the greatest opening I have ever seen. Only ever played as Roberto and Shoma.
What I think now: Still a great opening. Now I try to play as more characters, but I usually pick Shoma or Kyosuke because I still remember their moves. Love the character select music. How the hell do I still remember the controls?
The opening brings back such high amounts of nostalgia.

Before: I'm stuck in Dirtbox Desert and I didn't realize that the characters swear.
Now: Loon-A-Moon :argh: and the soundtrack is boss.

Then: Ahaha I'm shooting lasers at robots, this is soooo fun! (Only ever really played the clone wars era because then the clone troopers were good and fighting robots was awesome)
Now: Great game, I love how they use scenes from the move. The aim assist is nice for those who aren't good at FPSes with controllers like me. Only problems are the splitscreen is a tad annoying, and your damn allies are always getting in the way. I've accidentally killed teammates with a speeder or tank thing several times because they jumped right in front of me. And there's really only one type of gamemode which is a capture the point type deal.

Then: Ugh, hard, annoying enemies, but the only FPS playing as the French resistance.
Now: Modify controls to modernized dual sticks, so very easy, enemies still annoying, STILL the only FPS playing as the French resistance. Call of Duty 3 and United Offensive doesn't count, you're with them not playing them.
Super metroid NES, couldn't beat it years ago, still can't beat it now.

The game is suprisingly deep and very hard. Its like AOE, except in first person angle and setting is futuristic. Walking robot chickens, howering tanks, astronauts and cosmonauts dueling in hand to hand combat, has a multiplayer and the community is still alive despite the game was relatively unknown and was released in the 1998. Tells you something about how awesome this game was/is.
