I don't think drugs would be good neither. That carries a much greater risk. The game you're playing could be very dangerous indeed, and a single wrong move might even mean the difference between getting something in return for the intel, and potentially destruction of your life.

A small sum of cash is the safest and best route you could take. Information has it's price, and the best currency in this situation is monies. But still, the wrong move could bring you face to face with a Pyro or a spun-up Heavy. You gotta familiarise the route you gotta take, dodge the Sentries, and get the intel to her in exchange for a respectable small fee.

That poses a problem, then. Although, if you're a real nice guy, you could give the intel free of charge, or ask for an IOU when she can pay you for the intel. Either way, you gotta make sure she's the only one who gets the intel. Information trafficking carries it's risks, even with something as trivial as what her boyfriend wants for his birthday. If the intel gets leaked, someone could use the intel for other purposes. For example, a girl who likes the girl's BF could get a hold of the info, use it to buy him what he wants, and potentially swing his interests in that girl's direction, increasing the chances of the guy possibly cheating, and thus tearing apart what would've been a good relationship. A simple leak can change multiple lives. Gosh, I sound like Frank Martin from The Transporter.
