I've been sick all week. I'm still not feeling too great, but I'm going to try to go to school today. Three days off is a lot for me, especially with exams next week. While I was browsing youtube for music it suddenly switched over to a porn site...
I think I need to scan my computer...
I decided to hop back into the Left 4 Dead 2 SDK because I thought I might make a survival map based on "The Walking Dead." Holy shit after spending 4 months in just UDK and 3DS MAX I realized I never should have used Hammer in the first place.
I want to get better at mapping [because I'm terrible right now] and learn UDK/Max but it's all so fucking confusing.
MAX and UDK may seem a bit intimidating at first, but you'll really only be using 10% of the interface and once you build up the muscle memory of clicking all the buttons you need to click it ends up being less about the program and more about developing the skills.
It isn't more so the program as it is that I have no fucking idea how to model or anything. People tell me its simple but I'm probably too stupid to just understand the tools. Hammer's the same way with me.
