There is some action, though.
You should check it out, regardless of how similar it is to NGE.
Third episode of Level E was actually good, at least the latter half of it. The first half was really "meeeeehhh...".

Mami's bulletspam was really boring. Sword slashing is way cooler and more action filled.
Twas a good episode. It's not bad when you can make the death of a character into something laughable (without being supposed to be funny) yet the reactions towards the death of the character is emotional. But I guess that just means they've already managed to make a strong bond between the character crying and the viewer (read as me) strong.

I don't remember their names, so I just got the name order of his statement mixed up.
And yes I do. It was extremely lifeless and boring to just see her pull out the one gun after the other leaving faint explosion sounds and all the focus in the whole battle is just her shooting guns at something we for the most part of the fight can't see. And when she did actually shoot at something that was on the same screen it still just went so awkwardly smoothly and silent it was just dull.

Its worse when you are trying to go STRAIGHT down, except other skiers keep swerving in your way, so you end up, falling, slowing down while turning, or crashing into them.

I think it's paced well.
Why would you stuff in lots of action right in the start just because it's short? That makes no sense. They also had to suck in people in order to fool them as well to try and leave an impact (which it seems they succeeded with looking at some of your reactions.).
It's not like a lot of shit has to happen in a show like this. And it's had a fight in every episode. What more can you expect from it?

I don't have a problem with how it's paced at the moment but I'm afraid that it might have to rush the end to compensate or not bother with it at all (typical SHAFT). It's one third into the series and Madoka isn't a magical girl yet.
I really shouldn't be complaining since I was hoping for something unconventional.

I see no reason why they wouldn't just do a second season of this if it became popular enough.
And isn't it better that the actual reality of being a magical girl is actually being taken into consideration rather than just going "wee yayyay woooo wooo" and rush right into it and face faces of death on a daily routine with no worries before facing a really strong monster and then cry a lot and have someone else rescue her or have someone encourage her into becoming really strong through the power of love and justice and yadda yadda?
