I just ended up drinking some beers with my Dad (Neither of us drink alcohol), sitting around a table which was on the foredeck of a Type 42 Destroyer which was sailing through the city centre of Aberdeen. Not quite as crazy, just random. Then I woke up at 6:30 and watched some Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni.

Been playing Touhouvania 2 today, and holy fuck, this is without doubt the best Touhou fangame out there. Yes, it's even better than Touhou Mother and New Super Marisa Land.
If you do not get this game, you're torturing yourself.

I don't get a lot of it, due to the moonspeak, but the story seems to be a mix of Symphony of the Night and Perfect Cherry Blossom. (Sakuya being Alucard, Reimu being [sp]Ritcher Belmont[/sp], Remilia being... too obvious for me to tell and more)

Bottom line: AWESOME GAME. Haven't played a game that was this much fun since... I honestly can't remember. Portal or STALKER possibly. [highlight]10/10[/highlight]

Edit: The character portraits and music are undeniably top notch but the gameplay does not impress compared to certain top tier castlevania titles
Edit: And when I say it's not that good I mean it's closer to 8.5/10

Oh? Care to explain what you mean with that? I mean for a game going by the classicvania way of telling the story and using SotN's plot and controls, this game has some of the best platforming gameplay I've played in YEARS. Fighting too. Sure, it may be unfair at times, but if you mix unfair and unfair you get some pretty unfair stuff.
Personally, I loved the amount of secrets they included in this one, the controls, and the basic progression. All adds up for a great game

It's understandable you wouldn't know this, but no, I tend to play platformers more than I play most other kinds of games.
And a "meh" version of Castlevania is quite incorrect. It's definitely shorter, but I had more fun with this game than I had with most Castlevania-games. Only Aria of Sorrow and Symphony of the Night were better than this fangame imo
