Google "LGA 1155". Yes, I said 1155, it's not a typo.
Well no. Quad cores are better than dual cores in terms of gaming, because games are more optimized for multicore rendering now. However, I was stating that you do not need 4 additional logics cores over the existing 4 when it come to gaming, aka the i7, because the differences are barely noticeable.
Can't see shit captain. Only rumors from last year and some pictures of the upcoming LGA 1155 and 1156 from February the 6th.
There aren't that many that support quad core, but many have support for dual core.
Well, stuff like After Effects can render 8 frames at the same time with a i7. So go figure.
Again, I'm talking about GAMING.
Going to start watching Elfen Lied. Is it really scary :ohdear:?
Don't bother watching the anime. The manga is better.
Is Rebuild of Evangelion 1.11 worth buying?
Yes of course.
Learn to read. I was saying that i7s are needless if you are only going to use that machine solely for gaming as a condition.
CONDITIONS APPLY
Except that that statement is pointless when applied to dgg.
Didn't dgg say he wanted to use it for 3D rendering too though? Any sort of extra power would be handy there, especially simulations.
Not 3D. (That was the Mac 32GB RAM joke thing.)
Video and image editing.
Won't/can't watch SZS because I can't find a DVD with it.
You should seriously brush up your detective skills.

It kinda doesn't help when I had already stated what I wanted it for in the posts made hours before your post.
Again, I'm talking about GAMING.
He's talking about gaming AND VIDEO/GRAPHICS EDITING.
Again, I'm talking about GAMING.
AND WE'RE TALKING ABOUT DGG WHO ISN'T GOING TO USE IT FOR JUST GAMING.
My god!
I don't know shit about computer specs, so I'm just going to ask this: What do I watch next?
Moyashimon
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Paranoia Agent
[del]Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei[/del]

How many times do we have to trash talk NGE before everyone understands that it is only hyped and liked by few? And many retards of course.

It's not a rumor. Intel revealed it themselves about the LGA 1155 when they have revealed information regarding on Sandy Bridge.
There aren't that many that support quad core, but many have support for dual core.
It's not "support", it's optimization. Older games will run on a quad core CPu, but will only utilize 1-2 cores because the way they were coded. Almost all of the new games released after 2009 are optimized for quad core CPUs

Either way it's not out yet nor is the new CPU's and when they do come out they'll be expensive as fuck meaning I won't buy them in 2-3 years anyways.
If they only utilize 1-2 cores because of they way they are coded then it means that they don't support it. if it isn't coded in then it isn't supported.
There is not many games that are released after 2009 that are fun to play. Nor have I heard of any game that is going to come out that will be fun to play either.

Not that kind of old-school.
But lame old-school.

Also none of you corrected me, that's not X-files. It's some other horror theme song, like Nightmare on Elm street, Halloween or something.
Ah, The Exorcist.

No, there's a difference between the word supported and optimized. If you were to say a piece of hardware is unsupported, it means that the game will not run on it, or will run unacceptably poor while the hardware is working at its maximum work potentials. Unoptimized is where the game do run on it, but is unable to get the most out of the hardware it is utilizing.

Point still stand, power will help you render frames faster, and the ram will help in after effects for sure.

Should I plug my computer into a 220v outlet rather than a 110v outlet instead?

I guess you're right, but I still think it's wrong. It supports two cores, thus it takes use of the two cores (since the technology is the same, it just has more of them), but the two extra cores it has are not used because it does not support the usage of 4 cores.
Yes. Only Starcraft has been good. And I doubt I get any advantage from a Quad when it comes to playing Worms Reloaded.
Who? And what does that have to do with anything?
Macintosh sells 4870 GPUs for $350. I'm just supporting my statement that Macs are overpriced as hell.

Buying an individual piece of software =/= buying a whole PC.
Also I checked the price from a vendor that wasn't Apple because the Apple store charges more. And you can't counter that argument because it's the exact same that you just pulled off "X is cheap at *** and expensive at ***", that goes without saying.

Or you can buy the PC version, flash it with the Mac-capable BIOS, and move a few resisters around.
