finished fma:b in 6 days, a new record tbh not the best anime, but still good. i came in watching it expecting some shitty generic shounen show, but it manages to get past that (even though still having some of the tropes that a shounen show has) i can only think of 3 good shounen series out there 9/10

Got my new Steelseries 7H USB headphone. (USB actually just means that you get a USB sound card with it, handy for going to friends or something like that) It's delicious. Waiting for the slow FTP server belonging to Creative to let me finish the download of the sound card drivers for my X-FI Xtreme Gamer so I can test the 7.1 Surround support. Most headphones that costs more than you standard cheap pair of headphones supports 5.1 surround. No need to manually configure the output of the channels with MPC to get the sound to sound like it should. Just play and enjoy, no super high music and super low voices because of incorrect outputs.

Compatibility mode doesn't work as it tells me then that the installation requires Windows 7. But I'm installing it through "Run as administrator" this time as I forgot that before (though that shouldn't really be a problem as it fixes that itself, but you never know) and following the tips there that tells you to uninstall it through Device manager so that it looks for it after you restart and (hopefully) make it work properly. Also, guess why I posted the link to the thread instead of just copy pasting the text.
