I don't think that's how you actually pronounce it. It's a translation and they just tried to keep the original joke.
It's like how you can make a rhyme in english:
The bed.
It's dead.
And then translate it to Norwegian:
Senga.
Den er død.
And it makes no sense.
Then they try to translate it to make sense by changing it into something that makes sense in Norwegian but has nothing to do with the original.
But on the other hand it could just as well be right since it is a english name more or less.
I personally pronounce it like it is.
