I was actually in school at the time. (6th grade (American)) The morning was the same as normal. Planes crashed at whatever time around 9am or 10am. There was an announcement on the intercom. Turned on TV's for a little bit (surprisingly there were TV's in the classrooms), then we didn't do much else for the rest of the day. Needless to say, most people (that weren't my family or closest friends) had forgotten that it was my birthday. Oh well.
