I don't know many people that speak spanish, but I know a bunch that speak chinese and they would on a regular basis use it to talk to each other, hell I've had some switch to chinese around me because they switched to a more private matter.

Why are you pretty sure you would do that? 5 states is nothing and when you walk around the city you would have problems hearing if the language is different anyways because there are so many people talking at the same time anyways.
