Of course it plays video files. But it plays them in a crappy way, hogs unnecessary amounts of resources and adds too much blur to the video. And it sometimes ruins the typesetting of subtitles placing them all over the image and sometimes even overlapping two seperate subtitles.
ashxu just stop using VLC, give in.

The only thing i can do is play Fallout 3. I prefer to devote my whole computer's resources while playing Crysis, and Cortex Command sometimes gets boring.

Just get MPC/Zoom ahead of time so that if that does happen, then you won't be fucked. Plus you get all the added benefits of better video quality and whatnot. It's like driving around in a Ford Pinto saying, "Oh I'll just get a new car when this explodes"
