I also could've picked this up from Goodwill but my parents were against it:
But why?!
couple reasons a. modern digital clocks just need to monitor the last digit. if you snooze at 6:55, it just looks for the time when the last digit is one less b. the gearing of the first snooze alarms allowed for either 9 and change minutes or 10 and change. they thought less than 10 sounded better than more than 10
I had an alarm clock that went off every 7 minutes. Explain that one. :v: I think it was some Panasonic. This is what I have now (Emerson IC172) and has one of the LED time projectors and a motion sensor snooze control. Decent, but the iPod dock is sort of useless since I don't use one for music. Fortunately it has an aux jack.
But why?!
They didn't want me cluttering up my room with obsolete electronics.
I just use my phone. My alarm tone is this: It wakes me up, that's for sure.
I guess I should have expected all the late ratings huh
But analog clocks are digital by definition. They display time in digits (seconds, minutes, hours.) You can't go between seconds if you are reading by the measures on the clock.
I've also got my alarm clock on the other side of my room forcing me to get out of bed to turn it off. :v:
I used to do this, I'd put my alarm clock on the floor on the other side of my room, but then I'd wake up on the floor with the alarm clock cord in my hand because I got out of bed, crawled over to the alarm clock, unplugged it from the wall and laid back down all in my sleep. Covers and all. [editline]21st September 2014[/editline] When I sleep I sleep hard fucking core.
You guys are using boring mobile phones and LED clock radios? Clearly I have the best clock around here. You can pose the fucker too.
how big is it
best clock
The best alarm clock is your internal clock waking you up on time, while you feel refreshed and energized. One of the best feelings in the world, I think.
The best alarm clock is your internal clock waking you up on time, while you feel refreshed and energized. One of the best feelings in the world, I think.
Brb quitting my job
how big is it
Around 23cm standing up.
When I was in elementary I had this Pikachu alarm clock and the melody was: *military trumpet tune* WAKE UP! WAKE UP! (almost loud enough to wake up the entire flat) During high school I had and still have a normal digital one with radio as the wake up sound: [t]http://galall.strefa.pl/alasska/watson_ur4511.jpg[/t] But now I just use my phone and it's alarm tune.
Today I had to wake up at 5:35 AM and I woke up before my alarm. Last monday I had to wake up at 5:35 and woke up before my alarm. I do set the alarm on my phone just to be sure, it doesn't always happen.
The best alarm clock is your internal clock waking you up on time, while you feel refreshed and energized. One of the best feelings in the world, I think.
I don't think that's happened to me since Bill Clinton was president.
The best alarm clock is your internal clock waking you up on time, while you feel refreshed and energized. One of the best feelings in the world, I think.
I disagree, if I don't wake up by alarm then I end up waking up at 1pm with a headache
I have two alarm clocks facing backwards so that when one goes off and I'm sleepy I am left helplessly mashing buttons until I become conscious enough to realize which clock is the one making the noise, at which point I'm awake enough to go about my day.
The best alarm clock is your internal clock waking you up on time, while you feel refreshed and energized. One of the best feelings in the world, I think.
As much as I like waking up between 11a and 2p (and I actually don't), I can't 'cause I got shit to do.
I've got a similar app called Sleepbot that does pretty much the same thing, also keeps track of your hours of sleep [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/KqkZLSC.png[/thumb]
this app plus for my alarm tone ... *bzz bzz* du du du du du du DU DU DU DU DU DU *bzz bzz* ... sometimes the alarm off slider breaks on the app so i end up ripping the back off my phone and taking out the battery [editline]22nd September 2014[/editline] Alarm Name?
I can't stand using music as an alarm, if I hear it again during the day it makes me feel sick thanks to the mental association with morning grogginess.
My clock is on the other side of the room. I casually walk up to it, turn it off, then turn off 6 subsequent alarms, then go back to sleep.
I can't stand using music as an alarm, if I hear it again during the day it makes me feel sick thanks to the mental association with morning grogginess.
This was my alarm for a few years. I chose it because it was very loud and very obnoxious. I now have small panic attacks when I hear Green Hill Zone.
£15 and i never looked back
I use my phone and it plays this: It's nice and loud, too. I also use this for my dad's ringtone.
That's my actual alarm clock. Got it from a second hand store, still unopened in its original box. Box looked a little worn, so it likely sat in some electronics store storage room for 20 years before the owner decided to sell everything for a few euros. It has three options for alarm; radio, loud beeps or cassette tape. I mainly bought it for the cassette player since all of my old ones are broken. Normally it's my fail-safe alarm, I set it to go off 5-10 minutes after my phone alarm, because it's louder and actually requires me to get out of bed.
this is my alarm music very loud and it works well
Brb quitting my job

I don't think that's happened to me since Bill Clinton was president.

I disagree, if I don't wake up by alarm then I end up waking up at 1pm with a headache

As much as I like waking up between 11a and 2p (and I actually don't), I can't 'cause I got shit to do.
You people are missing the part where I said on time. For a while I'd get to sleep around 11 or 12 and wake up at 6 on the dot, without an alarm clock, and actually feeling fully awake.
I work swing shift so i dont get to bed till at least 1am :(
Going on and off SSRIs and especially the withdrawal effects really fucked with my body clock, I haven't had a regular pattern in about 6 years. I keep going between lots of being awake and little sleep and lots of sleep and little of being awake, so it's like I'm a regular person jumping between time zones. I'm never awake. Thankfully modern tech makes it easy to switch around the alarm sounds so I don't get used to one sound and get sick of it or ignore it, wonderful.
