Aliens Colonial Marines
GTA 4. While it was not an irredeemably shitty mess, I really wasn't expecting it to so bare compared to previous games and it had major issues with freezing, although that may have just been my shitty Xbox. I stopped enjoying it about half way through and decided to finish Vice City instead.
Payday 2 GTA IV on PC Ridge Racer 3D Kid Icarus Starfox Assault Starfox Command
Spore Rome 2 Assassins Creed 3 Crysis 2 Modern Warfare 2 Shark Tale: The Video Game
Dark Souls Not for the "hnng so casual" reason, I played and completed it, but it just wasn't appealing to me.
idk the melee combat is incredibly enjoyable and responsive, how could someone not enjoy the only swords game where the swords have weight to them
Most of the games I bought because I had a gift card, or they were on a super cheap discount and I'd figure I'd try them out. Super Paper Mario De Blob 2 VVVVVV I also bought Tony Hawk's HD, and I only disliked it up until I got a new computer that could actually run it. Now it's not that bad, but it could've been better.
assassin's creed 3 for sure From Dust was overhyped as hell
I'd say Shadow the Hedgehog because I was 12 and had no fucking clue.
Dead Rising 2, only because I could never even play the game thanks to GFWL. And King of Kings for the NES. First time I legitimately raged over a video game.
FarCry 2 Sniper: Ghost Warrior Outlast F.E.A.R. 3 Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs The Ball Borderlands Zeno Clash
I remember everyone going nuts over Zeno Clash, was it really that bad?
Mass Effect 1.
Payday 2 Shit balancing and they pay you to unlock features that should've been in the base game.
Mass Effect 1.
wrong
Mass Effect 3 Crysis 2 Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 Uncharted : Drake's Fortune Assassin's Creed 3 FEAR 3
Mirror's Edge.
Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising.
Sonic 3D I don't like the controls and the isometric view Toys for the PS1 It's not even a game. Big disappointment.
Blacksite: Area 51 The first Area 51 (PS2) was good, but blacksite is total shit
Test Drive Unlimited 2 Saints Row 3 Gettysburg Armoured Warfare (such a fucking awesome concept though:( )
Red Faction Armageddon Saint's Row The Third Bionic Commando

The Witcher 1.
Rust
Dead Island
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, the game is horribly optimised with clunky controls and a fucking toxic elitist community compounded with devs that don't give a shit about their player base.
18 Wheels of Steel: American Long Haul
Call of Duty MW3
Mass Effect 3 - Luckily I waited and got it fr cheap and I prepared for the letdown. Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs - Totally jumped on the name before doing research The last is case of gameplay being too old - The first three Tomb Raiders. I tried them but I just couldn't get past the controls. Maybe I'll give them another spin someday.
Spore. Biggest letdown in my life.
2008 was like the first big disappointment in my life, as far as purchases go. It actually killed my interest for open world games for quite a bit, until Fallout 3 came along.
Overgrowth Yes I know it's in early Alpha/Beta/Omega, but I thought it would be much better
