Overgrowth Yes I know it's in early Alpha/Beta/Omega, but I thought it would be much better
I kinda prefered it when the alpha was ultra broken and had a lot of funny glitches, like how if you pressed both the ragdoll and recovery keys you'd just duck and start speeding through the map.
I remember everyone going nuts over Zeno Clash, was it really that bad?
It's honestly one of my favorite games. The gameplay isn't the best, but there's something so unique to it. It's like playing a dream, influenced by old school fighter games, Dr. Seuss, and Dragon Ball Z. As for games that were a massive letdown for me: *Jedi Knights 2&3 *Sniper Elite *Numen: Contest of Heroes *Risen There are more, I'm sure, but those are the games that I was totally mislead by.
I bought Crysis 2 without reading or watching more than 1 review, I was dissapointed but I still liked it and completed it. I pre ordered Dragon Age 2 (Never pre ordered any game since) It was a let down but I still enjoyed it and passed it. Black Ops 2 for PC... ugh It's supposed to be better but I've had nothing but problems with it, mouse lag, control problems but mostly the fact that you had to have Korean internet to enjoy the game. Zombies mode with friends is like trying to keep an icecream from melting on a 40c day. The first BO was much better in so many ways for me. I hope this new developement cycle makes things less shit
Payday 2 was fun as fuck imo
It was at first, but Payday 1 was infinitely better.
Command and Conquer: Renegade. It's just so incredibly mediocre in every single area.
Fallout 3. I just didn't realize it until I played the originals. Dragon Age 2 and Payday 2 as well.
X: Rebirth Holy cow did that teach me a lesson about pre-ordering. I mean, where did they go so wrong with such a good genre? I couldn't even bare the first half hour. It looks fifty times worse than the other games as well. Silly game.
Stronghold 3 Nether Gnomoria I'm normally pretty picky about where to drop my money so I don't have too many shit games in my collection. [editline]16th February 2014[/editline] Oh and X:Rebirth as the guy above me.
Hitman: Absolution
takedown red sabre i didnt even buy it, and i still feel ripped off [editline]16th February 2014[/editline] a friend gifted it to me for a joke
Command and Conquer: Renegade. It's just so incredibly mediocre in every single area.
you obvously never played the multiplayer, base on base combat like that hasn't appeared in games since. renegade-x is releasing in like 8 days, with the multiplayer of renegade ontop of the kickass unreal engine, probably the only better game was battlezone II which had all that plus base-building on that theme red alert 3 not that it was a bad game but i finished the campaign and never played it again, not really memorable and just kinda shitty because of the massive graphic requirements for it cnc kane's wrath they took a very good game, and made it horribly unbalanced, buggy, and added giant 1shot-kill units ontop of the existing 1-shot kill weapons the game already had...... also duke nukem:forever minute i picked it up, played it through for like 20 minutes, thought "man this game plays like its 1998" got to some part with a toy car and opening a door, tried it for 30 minutes and gave up
Sniper Elite 1, it's so dated I can't even look at it in my library. [editline]16th February 2014[/editline]
Overgrowth Yes I know it's in early Alpha/Beta/Omega, but I thought it would be much better
I'm pretty upset over this because I think Overgrowth is an amazing game considering it's being made by 2 guys, and I'm supportive of pretty much everything they do, but I only played the game for like 5 hours. I'm sure I'll get back into it once development starts speeding up though.

I'm sure the multiplayer is better, but the gameplay mechanics, especially the gunplay and movement, make for an incredibly tedious singleplayer experience.
ya SP was terribly scripted, but it was fun when i was like 10 and the linear levels were fun, but the SP's story basically was "hey this guy is kidnapped, go rescue him" "oh now that you got him back, his daughter was kidnapped" then "oh ya well about that, while you were away getting his daughter....um well he was kidnapped again" "ok so you finally got him back, his daughter is in the big base we're about to blow up"
Command and Conquer: Renegade. It's just so incredibly mediocre in every single area.
Play it multiplayer, heretic. The singleplayer was kinda dull, but MP was fucking AWESOME. Not so sure about 3, but i'm certain it's in 2.
lost planet 2 mostly because i cant run it for shit, even with everything on low, and theres very little graphical options to mess around with (not to mention uses GFWL), its probably better on PS3 but my friend had been ragging on me to buy it for-fucking-ever and i finally did when it was on sale, and we played it for a whole whopping 2 hours the aiming felt really weird too, i forgot how exactly, but it just felt 'off' and not good at all
I pretty much find a way to like every game I buy, so the only one I would have to say I regret buying is Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. I got the digital deluxe preorder, or something like that, that I saved up for (I don't have very much money), only to have it not run on my computer (which isn't really the games fault, my computer is pretty low tech, so I'm not sure what I was expecting).
Assassin's Creed III for the Wii U Fallout NV Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Wii U

^ if i can play it straight up for a few hours then its worth it, but if its overly complicated to the point that i can't understand even the instructions then its not worth it or if it has dumb mechanics that make progress grueling [editline]16th February 2014[/editline] oh ya you have to download some MP patch or something, really though renegade x releases on the 26th so its probably worth it to just wait
Diddy Kong Racing DS
Absolute fucking dog shit that doesn't need to be explained. I would put ghosts up here as well, but I never bought the game.

War of the Roses and Mass Effect, both were clunky and boring.
I would have to say Far Cry 2. While it is cool at a technical standpoint ...
I thought Far Cry 2 was horribly disappointing technically. I didn't realize it wasn't on CryEngine until I played it.
Dungeon Defenders. Assassin's Creed: Revelations on PC. Dead Island. Torchlight.
War of the Roses and Mass Effect, both were clunky and boring.
Isn't War of the Roses F2P?
Twisted Metal for PS3. The gameplay itself was alright, but they never managed to get the multiplayer (AKA the game's selling point) servers working properly. It was pretty much abandoned after release, which was a huge disappointment.
I don't think most of FP would agree with me on this, but these 3 games were incredibly disappointing for me: Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, way back in 2007, probably the first big disappointment I've had with games. It was one of the first big releases for the PS3/360 I think, and I got it as soon as it was released on PC. Big mistake. Fallout 3. An even bigger disappointment, it just felt clunky in every way posible. Gameplay was awkward and had no flow to it, and it even looked terrible (even games released 5 years earlier probably had better animations) And last but not least, Driver: San Francisco. I just never got all the hype for it, it just wasn't a game I enjoyed, there's really not much else I can say. I was never a big fan of the whole "not being able to get out of your car" thing, either
Could you not put a massive pic here and just type "Modern Warfare 3" instead?
It needed to be pointed out and I wanted a person like you to reply to my post. You fell right into my trap fucker.
