Games you've bought that turned out to be really bad

Assassin's Creed 3 and Revelations
When Revelations came out I wanted it so bad because I was a huge AC fan so I went there and tried to buy it but I didn't have enough money so.....I traded in my fucking Wii. I regret it to this day. [sp]I miss my brawl.[/sp]
[editline]screw all y'all[/editline]
THIS WASN'T MEANT TO BE A FUNNY POST DAMN IT
Spore
i remember like 2 years after i stopped playing that pile my brother went and bought like both x-packs (the useless part pack) and the x-pack that they later turned into a forgetable game and i played it and was like....
are you shitting me? this is horrible
so much promise by maxis but they threw him out of the company half way through development and tossed 70% of the game with him too
Call of Duty 3 for the Wii.
I got up to some shit awful driving level and stopped there. It went back to the shop the next day.

The only reason why I still played Spore was to build stuff.
I seriously didn't know anyone on there who played the game itself.
APOX
Mars: War Logs
Don't buy them.
Bad Rats... I don't have a fucking clue why I thought it was going to be good like..
GTA 4
Definitely not a bad game in itself but the PC version is horribly unoptimized as shit.
7 Days to die.
I don't know why I even bought it.
Skullgirls. I don't much care for fighting games because I don't think waiting for the other guy to finish comboing me to death is fun, but a friend recommended it, saying it wasn't one of those fighters. I also figured it was a good opportunity to play with friends more, so I bought it.
Turns out he can't hold back even slightly, and he completely thrashes me. I can't play against my friends who are all obscenely better than I am, and I don't care to play online. $15 wasted.
NFS Carbon - Collector's Edition( I already had the original game )
Call of Duty: Black Ops( Zombies? didn't become a fan of it )
World in Conflict(The russian campaign was released, but people who bought the game before that got fucked.)
True Crime: LA - PC
Grand Theft Auto V - PS3 (The game just felt.. empty and incomplete. Everything I loved from GTA IV was gone, but they seemed to have kept the habit of "what do I do, where do I go?" after completing the story. The DLC is dissapointing. The new valentine's day DLC had the idea of what I liked, but didn't add much. Online just feels sucky. My opinion)
Assassins creed 3
The borderlands series (Boring as shit, first 10-20 levels are unplayable at some places)
Interstellar marines (Lacks any basic features I'd expect from an FPS, let alone a tactical one. The game has been out for 6/7 months, and still doesn't have crouch of all things.)
Roller coaster world
Saints row III
Battlefield 3 (Asymetrical loadouts basically made me hope I'd spawn as US just so I could stand a chance. Bad vanilla maps with contextual destruction. Sniper heaven, too.)
Every Call of Duty since the original Modern Warfare
Every Need For Speed since the original Most Wanted
I bought MW2 and Black Ops. MW2 had some cheap laughs in how easy it was to annoy people and Black Ops sucked, I've bought none since, and I have NFS Hot Pursuit I think, that sucked and every NFS since seems to be a remake of an older game but all of the most recent ones play the exact same and have none of the charm the PS2 NFS games had.
Battlefield 3
What a train wreck of an experience that game was, from the beta being rickety pile of shit, to the full game being unstable to the 'realism' features to the DLC. It's just shit and in terms of sportsmanship or not being a dick, it was the worst multiplayer experience I ever had and I've played WoW for 5 years..
Resident Evil 6. Being a die hard fan of the series, I was really disappointed. The whole game was ass. I still haven't beaten it, and when i try to play it. I end up quitting after five minutes.
Yeah, RE6 really wasn't that great, they modernized it too much. Something about being able to aim AND move at the same time. To be fair though, I really liked 6 a LOT better than I did 5, 5 was a flop.
Towns, fucking terrible game.
Postal 3
Towns, fucking terrible game.
I feel like they could have made it a good game had they spent a few more months on it.
-Simplify it. It was realy awful that you had to build so much shit just to get people stuff to sleep and eat. Not to mention that iron was impossible to find and the player had no direction at all.
- make the ai less retarded. They'd charge into enemy dungeons that they have no hope of surviving in. They'd ignore important building orders.
I think, what would be realy nice, is if someone made a game in which the player, in first person, builds a fortress/town/city for NPCs (who assist the player). The city must either compete with other cities OR be defended from waves upon waves of goblins (with the occasional troll/dragon)
Battlefield 4 all the way. I've probably invested 14 hours in the game and I'm still stuck with the default kit, while everyone else seems to have the innate ability to kick my ass to the sun and back.
Mirror's Edge.
I am so goddamn conflicted with this game.
The setting, the aesthetic, the controls, the gameplay- everything was lined up for an amazing game. I get to escort vital packets of information along an underground railroad of intel? KICKASS.
What do I do first? Move along info vital against the government? Escort corporate account sheets to a rival company?
Nahhh, you get to investigate a murder. There has never been another game that I enjoyed so much but was also so enormously disappointing.
EDIT:
And Spore too. Because EA rushed things and now tiny micro-organisms suddenly climb out of the water unto land as complex tetrapods.

I tend to ignore how bad the story and characters in Mirror's Edge were because the rest of the game was awesome. I do admit they wasted a lot of opportunities to make ME the best game ever created.
Too Human
Enter the Matrix
Duke Nukem Forever
Aliens Colonial Marines
Just off the top of my head, looking at my own list makes me pretty sad I had hope for these.

Still waiting for those "future PCs" it was designed for.
ORION : Dino Horde
Tried conquest mode for free roam, got the "urghn ur computer isnt x64 lelelele" and a crash.
I wanted to sell it yet i forgot you had to click "buy as gift" option.
bioshock infinite
i even bought the season pass (never buying a season pass again)
clash in the clouds sucked, burial at sea part 1 sucked
not even waiting for burial at sea part 2 i already gave my 360 to my sister
I preordered Red Orchestra 2.
On release the game was unoptimised, buggy as fuck and had and still has a terrible single player and these problems still exist in some form. The community to that game is one of the worst I've ever encountered. All the servers play "realism" mode which is the devs successful attempt at sucking all the fun out of the FPS genre with 95% of the team being shitty riflemen, and on pretty much every sever there is zero communication on either team beyond the occasional guy shouting benign orders and so "very realistically" every match ultimately boils down to throwing endless men at a position until it's taken. The devs had the fucking nerve to charge £30 at release only to charge extra for an expansion resulting many of the servers playing the original game to either switch over to shut down.
[sp]I know that I'm going to get hate for this along the lines of "you don't get it" or "realism is fun" but fuck you I enjoyed RO1, the game had tons of mods and was far more accessible than RO2[/sp]
I'm conflicted on Bioshock Infinite.
I hate a lot of combat-heavy scenes but I love the story and the characters.
Go back and play Bioshock 1 on hard and you appreciate the combat in infinite so much more.
Battlefield 3. I've never been too good at the Battlefield series, but thought BF3 was going to be an exceptional game with all the new stuff they were trying to add in. Even after receiving the premium pack for free, I can't bring myself to play the game for the following reasons:
1. EA Origin. Holy fuck I did not see that one coming.
2. That netcode. Have any of you seen the hit detection issues and the 0% health bug?
3. EA Origin. It deserves to be mentioned again because it brought so many problems along with it. First of all, launching the game client with an internet browser... are you fucking joking? Not only does the game client have to be up to date, but now I need updates for my web browser to update my game? Lastly, charging people to rent servers. EA was charging people 60$ for the game, and another 60$ for dlc, and those cheap fucks couldn't implement dedicated or listen servers for free?
Dead Island.
The reason why it sucked is because of how lacking the enemy variety is and the game mechanics is so bland, I couldn't bring myself to beat it.
