Yeah I hear ya. We've all gotten bored of these characters. Even the oh so funny trollface can't keep up with his original wittiness and shine. All memes die eventually.
This whole scenario reminds me of that Simpsons-episode where the kids get tired of Itchy & Scratchy. And Lisa explains it: The show is as good as it ever was. Yeah, that's the problem when you make things like this publicly accessible. Before, only the good artists could make comics that were actually funny. Now, every boy and girl with an internet connection shits out enough "xd me gusta" ragecomics that the genre is saturated with shit.
I've been here long enough to know that before ragefaces and all that crap came along, people actually put effort into making their comics. Basically, any shitty ideas/shitty comics were too much effort for so little comedic effect, and were scrapped unless the author thought whatever they were going to draw had promise.
It's basically just a matter of time before facepunch sees ragecomics as funny as demotivational posters and all that. (There was a time in Lamo pics history that they [I]were [/I]funny, believe it or not)
