One time I did that to my leg when I was 8 and flipped shit. My mother had to sit with me until I regained feeling in it.

Dave Mustaine from Megadeth fell asleep with his left arm over the back of a chair, when he woke up he couldn't move it because he'd somehow crushed a nerve. So he had to go through months of physical therapy and relearn how to play guitar.
True story.

I remember the story of a heroin addict who passed out, fell on his arm in an alleyway, and was out cold for a solid 14 hours. The combination of the makeshift tourniqueton his arm and the fact his whole body was laying ontop of it make him lose enough blood flow for the cells to die in his arm, and he had to have it amputated.
On the topic of arm sleeping I've only done it once.
Any tips on how to do it easily/comfortably?
The part where he sits down amongst random people reminded me of assassins creed :v:
I had something similar happen. I was walking laps in gym, and a really tall, and buff tard see's me and aims fingerguns at me. He shout's THATS ENOUGH GET ON THE GROUND RIGHT NOW. I locked my hands behind my head and started to kneel down. I suddenly realized I didnt wanna play this game and busted off running. I ran three laps as fast I could, he followed my closely for about 3-4 laps. Then I turned a corner just out of his view and hid. I waited till my friends caught up, we had a laugh and snuck around the corner and kept walking.
I looked down (two story gym, theres balconies on the sides of the court) and the special ed kids are assigned a section. He got caught.
For the rest of the of the class we had to do our laps super sneakily and if he saw us, we'd all bust out in fingerguns and have a giant shootout.

I recall a story of a girl who passed out drunk at a party with her legs in a weird position... both were amputated because the blood was cut off for so long. I believe the story blew up because the family claimed the docs could've used some special technique to save them instead, making the amputations unnecessary.

I knew about the injury (mild Megadeth fan here), but I'd never bothered to learn what it was. So I Googled it, found an interview. His answer was actually LMAO material:
Q: Tell us about the injury you had that prevented you from performing.
I had fallen asleep on my arm. It is just that simple. I wish I could tell you that I was sword fighting, or saving a baby from a burning building or something. You know, sometimes you are wearing shoes that are too tight or you are sitting the wrong way and your leg will fall asleep a little bit. That is what happened to my hand. The circulation was cut off to the nerve on the inside of my left bicep. When the nerve lost circulation, it shrunk like a crunched up straw. The nerve didn't talk to the muscle and the muscle didn't talk to the hand, and the muscle died. I couldn't move my hand anymore. It took me four months to get the feeling back and another year of weight training just to get my hands operating properly. I had to do these wrist curls, and I wanted to use the same size weight on both arms because I didn't want one arm to be bigger than the other. I was using the lighter dumbbell in the gym and they were pink. So I have all these meatheads walking by and I am sitting there, lifting pink dumbbells.
