There is an ever easier explanation really. I stumbled upon this picture for quite some time ago and it was taken in Japan. What caused the damage to the railway was nothing more than an earthquake.
The regular "dents" you recognised are actually from the points where you connect the rails.

the issue with the earthquake theory is that the tracks aren't compressed and buckled, but bent with notable pressure points from the wheels at regular intervals

Ill probably get dumb ratings for this, but i hate these. Seriously hate them, it takes no skill to make and puts the message of whats being said and portrayed to shame. I personally have felt some of the feelings mentioned in these and it just shows me that Facepunch is full of twats who have never experienced life and love, and most of all the feelings of loss. Yes it's funny if your an obvious troll who can't take in anything for a deeper meaning, but for those of us who have been in situations that have pushed us to our limits its tasteless and pathetic. Go out and live your life and stop defacing other's emotions because you think you'll get a few more funny ratings out of it.
I used to believe Facepunch had class, now it's all stolen images and attempts at humor that are only understood by a select few. The more we alienate ourselves from society, the more of low life equivalent it seems we are becoming. We hide behind anonymous because we are to afraid to show our faces, and we hit these ratings because we feel that they mean something to embody ourselves in self worth.
Stop defacing the world behind ur lcd and make something of yourself. If you have, good for you, keep going, and don't look back.

I can't quite agree with you on that.
It's all mostly opinion, what you just said. I've loved, lost, and seen people in their darkest hour. I can't say, with a straight face, that I didn't laugh at those pictures.
It's partially because I like dark humour, but the other part is that they're meant to be funny, not defacing their true meaning.
