I cant wait to see what the gravgun is going to look like in Ep3. its going to look SO FUCKING COOL and maybe be able to be a portal to some extent. just like the Portal gun is a gravity gun to some extent and Black Mesa and Apature are sorta rivals. would make sense.
I would choose the Portal gun though.
If it's just the regular gravity gun, then the portal gun.
Now if it was the charged gravity gun
space is like a vacuum
Do you listen in science class sometimes? Vacuum = Space without Air, aka nothing. So it is not like a Vacuum, but IS a vacuum.

i want the gravity gun so i can send cars flying
A weaponized version of the Gravity gun would be a revolution.
Imagine a war where the soldiers can fight tanks by throwing them.
[editline]Dicks:[/editline]
Imagine it mounted under a rifle's barrel, like a grenade launcher. :pcgaming:

Right Click with Grenades + G + Right Click and the punt
The portal gun can do lots the gravity gun can anyway.

Remove landmines easily, maybe throw them In your enemy's face. Or pull a District 9 and use the gravity gun to stop enemy bullets and throwing them back. Military applications are endless.
I choose the physic gun.
You can also use the portal gun to move things.Press "E"
I don't know. The Portal gun's lift can't throw and pick up most heavy objects, but it has Portals. So, technically you could just go around the enemies.
The gravity gun is more of a weapon because it turns other objects into a weapon once it's grabbed.

Well, you could set up a pair of portals and drop something heavy through one so it lands on your enemy's head, or force them to go through an infinite loop and then redirect the bottom portal so he/she dies from the impact, or make them fall off of a really tall building. In my opinion, this makes the Portal Gun a much better weapon than the Gravity Gun.

Pick shit up, throw shit, fuck shit up.
Gravity gun has a simpler and faster application in combat scenarios.
Portal Gun.
Shoot one portal under Gabe, shoot another at the top of a building, claim Gravity Gun for self.

That's...pretty much what the Portal Gun can do, just in a different way. :v:
Portal Gun. Gets the ladies man.
I would shoot a portal at the sun, and hold the world ransom, and if they dont give me whatever I want, I will destroy the earth by making another portal on earth and the heat and pressure would destroy it
The portal gun could be used for space exploration.
Just shoot the portal gun at some random direction in space, or use an equation to figure out exactly the right angle and time to get to a planet we know is hospitable. After that we put another portal in an enclosed room, with reinforced walls and doors, and wait for the portal to activate, once it does..... SPACE TRAVEL COMPLETE!!!
It may still take a long time, but at least no one has to sit around in a spaceship for years.
Also normally the gravity gun can't pick up very large objects, but with a console command you can make the gun pick up ANYTHING, I think its "gravity_force" or something. Just don't go picking up cars, they spaz out and make reality freeze once every couple seconds.
Girls changing room.
Portal gun.
Success.
first thought to cross my mind
The gravity gun is clearly better anyway seeing as i could pick up cars and punt them through a fucking building and level that shit.
Portals would be good for flooding places with a mass amount of water but if the portal gets moved, it unlinks, that's the flaw.

ehh, well even if the portal appeared instantly, what we see is light years away, maybe tens of light years, that just are own galaxy, so you would have to find the exact spot of where it is now, because what we see is back in time, so it would be pretty hard to find out where it is. The best we could do is shoot one to a planet in our solar system, or the moon if you wanted.

Actually, everything would be synchronized through a portal. Say the exit portal lands on a planet in another galaxy far away. In our sky, that planet hasn't visibly formed yet due to how far away it is, but looking through the portal, we see the planet exists right there.
I think he means, it would be really hard to hit spot on because the planets that are lightyears away are, you know lightyears away. Meaning it takes that many years for the light to get there, effectively making it like we are looking into the past. that being said, the planet could have moved and we are actually just looking at where it used to be.
Portal gun, think all the awesome things that you can do with it

Well it's a fucking game, portals aren't even physically possible. Too complicated, man

yeah, thats what Im saying. In the years it would take for the light of a star or planet to get here, it wouldnt be in that spot anymore
