Actually one should watch all there is of NGE. The show to watch episode 21, because it actually makes it look like it's going to be interesting for once (Really, the only good episode in the whole show. Or was it episode 19?). And for the two last episodes, especially for the black and white pen and paper animation which was awesome. Also to be able to watch the movie, End of Evangelion which had awesome animation and a vagina on a forehead the size of USA, if not bigger.
And then to watch the Rebuild movies which apparently are actually good, the first movie we "normal" people can watch is however just a recap of the start with some prettier art and animation. But the second movie even stars a new character, so yeah.
