I've been at a junction with a tool with the same get up - revving his engine (obviously hoping to do the same). I was alongside him in a V6 Izuzu Trooper (funny story: It's cheaper to insure me (with 2 years driving experience) on that 4x4 than it is a small hatchback with a 1.0 litre engine (V6s and V8s are pretty rare in the UK as they're expensive to run etc), and it's got a V6 under the bonnet. It's not even [i]slightly cheaper. I'm talking £550 cheaper a year[/i]. Go figure...) and he obviously thought he could 'impress' the pedestrians by 'racing' away from a 4x4.
Light goes Amber and he starts revving and I'm sitting there laughing my ass off. He must've dropped a few grand to make his car look (and sound) as shit as it was. Light goes green, my V6 roars a bit and I see his car suddenly shudder to a halt and smell burning clutch fluid.
The stupid shit destroyed his clutch trying to be smart (I swear it must've exploded in it's housing). Last I saw of him was in the mirror, getting out with his hazards on and pushing his crappy car to the side of the road. Never have I laughed so much while driving...
