Couldn't disagree more. You're comparing the suffrage movement, which was created due to Woman being told they're just there for baby making (when we're all the same - gender or race shouldn't create a rift, let alone telling someone they're not as good as you so are barred from the simplest things) which is something they didn't have much control over (if any) as it was a society issue, not a personal one to someone who has very little self control and can't stop eating and is either too lazy, or has issues burning the calories off - which is a personal problem. 2 different things. Personally, I dislike fat people who don't try and lose the weight. I haven't a problem with fat people in general (in fact I know a few and they're nice people), but I [I]do[/I] have an issue with those lazy arseholes who just think [I]"ah well, the NHS will give me a new liver or heart"[/I] when there's someone out there who actually needs it, but is further down the list because some lard-ass is on the verge of death because they're so damn lazy - they refused to lose the weight. Given a new organ? Back to eating I go because I've been doing it for years, I can't change now! I feel the same about those who decide they're entitled to taking up 2 seats on the bus or airplane due to their weight (I've noticed a trend, at least in Scotland where I live, where fat people seem to always prioritise themselves- pushing others out the way to get to places etc).
I feel the same about those who drink till their Liver explodes. They feel entitled to get a free Liver because of their habitual issue of drinking, refused to stop (even when money was spent on them with counselling etc) and have the cheek to insult everyone who tells them they've had their chance to change, and that the person who really does need the liver should be a higher priority than them because we all know - there's an incredibly high chance they won't change.
This 'fat hatred' isn't helped with the fact magazines shovel out highly-photoshopped images of models, advertise "new fad diets", size zero models and small clothes - while peddling them all off as 'normal'. I've known women (friends in fact) who have called themselves fat because of this, and they're far from it. They're just so surrounded by this bollocks - they've convinced themselves if they're not close to anaemic they're fat. So, if you want something to sit around the fire discussing in the future - discuss how magazines have convinced perfectly normal people that they're freaks if they're not anaemic.
