This actually works and protects the hose, the train just goes over it. Trains can actually go off the rails for roughly 20-50 ft and then right back on with no problem. The Army Engineers did the testing in WW2 to figure out how to derail german trains. I forgot the video but it's been posted before

The video showed a gap. A bump as wide as the entire wheel, not just the groove, is not going to work the same.

Last time we discussed this I argued, just like you, that it works but was corrected by at least ten different people.
It was a april's fools joke from a fire department somewhere in EU, it doesn't work at all.
