I don't imagine the presence of a few would ever tip the scale for someone who prefers a specific group in all other departments (Unless the errors are in extreme quantities)

I just marathoned through all the episodes of Kokoro Connect (& Michi Random).
It was a good series. Sometimes it felt like there was way too much drama, but that just made the comedy even sweeter.

Except the second half of Accel World failed really hard on a plot basis too? Not to mention the amount of sheer backtracking Haru's confidence did.

The main character in Accel World never grew up and forever stayed a fucking whining pussy bitch.
He got a bit tougher when it was conveniently needed to move things along, then he would go back to being a pussy again.
Accel world started as some of the best shit ever and then just got worse and worse and worse and more and more generic after the 7th episode or so. Man, that show just went down the gutter and decided to step into every shounen show trope and storytelling ever which it generally avoided in the start.
