No, I played part 1. It has a surprising level of depth and I intend on playing the rest. I was just, you know, kidding.
Not you, CapLaPorte.
Not you, CapLaPorte.
oh :v:
Monmusu Quest RPG of the year all years.
no, it's not even the best eroge RPG out there rance takes that spot
Really liked the beginning of another and glad that it's starting to pick up again at episode 6. Unless the 2nd half turns out to be the same as episodes 3-5
Just play part 2. Sigh. That feeling when you've realized that you're playing Monster Girl Quest for the plot.
Just play part 2. Sigh. That feeling when you've realized that you're playing Monster Girl Quest for the plot.
Yeah, PLOT indeed.
Just play part 2. Sigh. That feeling when you've realized that you're playing Monster Girl Quest for the plot.
Exactly what I say when I don't want to admit to masturbating to weird material.
Well, it's not like you guys would know what a well written story looks like anyways so I'll just laugh at you like a human being laughs at insects doing silly things. However good characters? What? WHAT? WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT? Hey, let's take every generic kind of personality anime has ever created and make them superflat and generic with no uniqueness to them at all and lump them all together and make the exact same jokes every other anime in existence has ever made with and about them. Good characters.
*cough* CLANNAD *cough* Now before I get the Kyoani/Key-gestapo on my back I'll say that I enjoyed CLANNAD and Afterstory, more than Angel Beats I think though the difference isn't as great for me compare to people here. Angel Beats simply has too many characters to characterise them well (or at all) so we only really get a handle on a few. CLANNAD falls into stereotypes hook line and sinker and doesn't really give much more reason for why the girls fall for the MC besides the fact that he's a nice guy. Why, you could call it a harem series, y'know, the ones that we dislike so much because we have taste and distinction and what not. My point is that while there's enough reason to dislike Angel Beats, I find it hard to fathom why one would seem to hate the series while liking CLANNAD as much as the people here do. I daresay that the people from Key had a bigger say in Angel Beats creation than CLANNAD/Kanon2006/Air. I think the biggest problem with Angel Beats is that it's too pandering and tailored to hit certain checklists. I don't think I'm allowed to say that this makes a series bad after liking so many of the shows made by SHAFT.
God damn, Shingeki no Kyojin is intense. Just read the first 15 chapters and the body count of random and prominent supporting characters is just ridiculous. I'm really glad I stumbled upon on its MAL page. Absolutely the best random find for me in ages. How do you kill these guys, holy shit. Welp, I've finished Code Geass. That had the most plot twists and turns and surprises out of anything I've ever seen, ever. Also I cried at the end, manly tears, certainly not making whining sounds like a little bitch. Still, amazing, amazing show, I'm not kidding this time. If you haven't watched it, you without a doubt should try to as soon as possible, I can't overstate how good it is enough.
GJ-bu 7 This green-haired runt is obnoxious, who let her join
I didn't like her at the beginning of the episode but she grew on me pretty quick best part of gj bu so far has been pirara-piruru-pirururiruri
The Adventures of Mikuru Asahina was amazing, 11/10 it was ok. Beautiful plot, believable characters and cutting edge special effects. Oscar material right there.
Shingeki no Kyojin is really living up to what /a/ says about it. [sp]Everyone is titans.[/sp]

It is harem, he is surrounded by women who wants his penis
Harem anime also have an awkward as fuck MC who spends the entire series sperging around and trying to decide which of the women he wants (bonus points if he still can't decide at the end). Clannad makes it pretty fucking obvious right from the get-go who he ends up with and drops the rest like a goddamn anvil.
No it doesn't? Harem genre means a guy surrounded by women, like Haganai, GJ-Bu and Clannad. Harem isn't necessarily bad, it's just that it often times is (like when mixed with Ecchi+Action).
Fair enough. [editline]21st February 2013[/editline] Wow, gj-bu really keeps going with the hair brushing fetishism...
toothbrushing,hairbrushing.... what fetish will the Japs make us get next?
no, it's not even the best eroge RPG out there rance takes that spot
Is that the one where the options are a. peek at the girls panties b. rape her thats a big jump
toothbrushing,hairbrushing.... what fetish will the Japs make us get next?
They've got drool covered too.

RIP [sp]sensei[/sp]
saying something is the opposite of what it is is now a joke? ok then.
Uh, yeah, since forever. Recommending Boku no Pico to people that want a good show to watch is an opposite joke. Calling Neon Genesis Evangelion a good and deep show that targets a mature audience is also an opposite joke.
Really liked the beginning of another and glad that it's starting to pick up again at episode 6. Unless the 2nd half turns out to be the same as episodes 3-5
It never picked up, what the heck are you even talking about?
*cough* CLANNAD *cough* Now before I get the Kyoani/Key-gestapo on my back I'll say that I enjoyed CLANNAD and Afterstory, more than Angel Beats I think though the difference isn't as great for me compare to people here. I think the biggest problem with Angel Beats is that it's too pandering and tailored to hit certain checklists. I don't think I'm allowed to say that this makes a series bad after liking so many of the shows made by SHAFT.
Yes, Clannad also has generic characters, but they add some uniqueness to them whereas in Angel Beats there is nothing original about them at all, they're cardboard pieces thrown around when needed. Clannad and Kanon goes in-depth with the characters, in Angel Beats it's just a constant stream of shuffling between the characters as feel fit for comedic purposes, the main character is the only one that gets (a horribly generic and un-emotional) background check, the other people gets it revealed right before they [sp]end their existence in wherever it was again I can't remember those kind of details[/sp]. We dislike harem series because they all go Love Hina on our asses with fanservice, boob grasps and "oh my god oh my god oh my god who will I choose? You got to choose one in order to not hurt everyone you stupid cunt.", Clannad didn't do that moralefaggotry shit, it just cared about delving into the lives of the girls one by one and then choosing one at the end and making it clear for the others, without any pressure about it being the right or wrong thing to do. Clannad has a story and stories/arcs mixed into the story. Angel Beats has one story that makes very little sense, has gigantic plotholes [sp]like never having actually talked to the person they claim is the devil[/sp] and is riddled with generic and poor jokes. Coupled with mediocre animation, gigantic animation flaws in the first 3 episodes and being just overall ridiculous I don't see why it's hard to believe someone would enjoy the one and dislike the other. If KEY had a bigger say in Angel Beats then the other 3 then that may very well be the problem. KyoAni sucks at making their own original stuff, but they are damn good at adapting stories and making them work as TV shows. Why wouldn't you be allowed to say that? SHAFT does it well, P.A Works did it badly? A bad show is bad and can be bad for the same reasons some other show is good, because the good show did it well, the bad show did it badly.
