Wow, that's really nice of them.
Should I watch Fate/Zero or Fate/sn first? I am a bit confused by the contradicting opinions on this, so I thought I'd ask you guys. Also, from what I've read around the internet, is Fate/sn even worth watching?
Both spoil things for each other, so it doesn't really matter which one you do first.
The visual novel is 50+ hours (or a lot more if you're a slow reader like me), so you might want to watch F/Z simply to see if you like it, as there's less bullshit to go through before you get to the good parts. If you do like F/Z, I guarantee you'll like F/SN. My only hesitation to recommend F/Z first is because it doesn't explain the Holy Grail War all that well before getting to the real story.
When you do decide to play F/SN, keep in mind it's got an extremely slow start. It's near unanimously agreed that Fate (the first route of the VN) is the worst of the three routes, but you have to play it first, so just tough it out.
I like most VNs more than their anime adaptations. I liked the VN more for F/SN, Higurashi, and all of the Key works (Clannad, Kanon, etc.)\
Speaking of Key VNs, I'm currently about halfway through Rewrite, it's really fucking good. I hope KyoAni picks it up and it doesn't suffer the same fate that Little Busters has to undergo with JC Staff.

Thanks! Guess I'll start with watching F/Z and go with the VN for F/sn then if I like it(, which I probably will).
Uh, yeah, since forever. Recommending Boku no Pico to people that want a good show to watch is an opposite joke.
Calling Neon Genesis Evangelion a good and deep show that targets a mature audience is also an opposite joke.
It never picked up, what the heck are you even talking about?
Yes, Clannad also has generic characters, but they add some uniqueness to them whereas in Angel Beats there is nothing original about them at all, they're cardboard pieces thrown around when needed. Clannad and Kanon goes in-depth with the characters, in Angel Beats it's just a constant stream of shuffling between the characters as feel fit for comedic purposes, the main character is the only one that gets (a horribly generic and un-emotional) background check, the other people gets it revealed right before they [sp]end their existence in wherever it was again I can't remember those kind of details[/sp].
We dislike harem series because they all go Love Hina on our asses with fanservice, boob grasps and "oh my god oh my god oh my god who will I choose? You got to choose one in order to not hurt everyone you stupid cunt.", Clannad didn't do that moralefaggotry shit, it just cared about delving into the lives of the girls one by one and then choosing one at the end and making it clear for the others, without any pressure about it being the right or wrong thing to do.
Clannad has a story and stories/arcs mixed into the story. Angel Beats has one story that makes very little sense, has gigantic plotholes [sp]like never having actually talked to the person they claim is the devil[/sp] and is riddled with generic and poor jokes. Coupled with mediocre animation, gigantic animation flaws in the first 3 episodes and being just overall ridiculous I don't see why it's hard to believe someone would enjoy the one and dislike the other.
If KEY had a bigger say in Angel Beats then the other 3 then that may very well be the problem. KyoAni sucks at making their own original stuff, but they are damn good at adapting stories and making them work as TV shows.
Why wouldn't you be allowed to say that? SHAFT does it well, P.A Works did it badly? A bad show is bad and can be bad for the same reasons some other show is good, because the good show did it well, the bad show did it badly.
Uh, yeah.
It picked up for me but maybe because I started fantasizing about a multiplayer survival horror like the older resident evils and playing ttt a lot.

Everyone says you should read F/SN first, but I'm not so sure if going through a 60 hour VN is worth it if you just want to watch F/Z (which is my case).

if you want to watch F/Z but have zero interest in F/SN you're doing something wrong
Anyone know of some good pilot/airforce type animes? I've watched through "The cockpit" and have seen sky crawlers, and I plan to watch "Area 88", was wondering if there any others.

I do have interest in F/SN, just not 60 hours interest if you know what I mean
Yukikaze
[del]Strike Witches[/del]
Macross Zero
watched through all of the macross-es, but I'll check out Yukikaze, thanks.
Just finished the first season of GitS, pretty good. Onto the next.

It's far shorter than 60 hours if you only do one route.
It's far shorter then 60 hours if you only do one route.
Doing one route on a vn is like buying a set of golf clubs but only ever using one of them and only to lean on it looking cool.
Sure, you can do it but I can't help but think you're not in the right mindset.

Please, why would you do this. I cringe every time people write "then" instead of than. I mean it completely messes up the meaning of sentence.

Fuck you caught me I used then there entirely to annoy you, it's not like it was a mistake or anything.
My pronunciation of "then" and "than" is literally exactly the same when I speak it's hard to use the right one.

While this doesn't apply to all vn's, it sure does to fate/stay night
All the plot that fate/zero is actually relevant to is in the final route
Is Maoyuu Maou Yuusha going to cover all 5 novels or is it only going to cover a few of them?
I'm really digging Mondaiji Bunny thus far but uh....
Grim Grimoire? Did the writer have a momentary case of the stupid?

Mean.
Started watching Space Brothers. Loving it. The kind of anime you could show your parents without the fear of being disowned.
People think brotherhood is better than full metal alchemist right?
ye

jokes aside, yeah, the consensus is that Brotherhood is generally better
jokes aside, yeah, the consensus is that Brotherhood is generally better
Maybe cause the plot doesn't become fucking retarded about halfway in Brotherhood because they ran out of manga chapters to adapt.
