Not quite Japanese, but does anybody here know somebody who can speak Korean and would be interested in helping me translate these?
I've been talking back and forth with the artist who draws these on pixiv because I love the little universe he's created. It's a concept similar to Upotte in that it's a bunch of cute anthropomorphized planes doing cute things. The guy who draws these is a legitimate military buff, and the care he puts into the characters and their designs is just marvelous. I love it. Which is why I've been trying so hard to find somebody to help me translate them.

If there is one thing that pisses me off to the extreme is when the studio decides they should put the sound of cicadas in the background. It's a fucking irritating noise and I cannot understand why [I]anyone[/I] on this planet finds that ear-raping sound to be pleasant at all.
I like cicadas in anime
In real life they're irritating though
cicadas remind me of higurashi, and i find them soothing

It's only during silent periods when a new scene starts so I don't see the problem.
I also like it how it's always the same sound effect. The oldest anime I know that used the sound effect was NGE. Newest probably Hyouka but I'm sure there's even newer.

It's ok then (if they are quiet) but if the cicadas get perpetually louder during a talking scene it becomes unbearable.
I've never heard that happen. what were you watching?
